Introducing CS:GO

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (abbreviated as CS:GO) is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Hidden Path Entertainment and Valve Corporation. It is the fourth game in the main Counter-Strike franchise. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was released for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in August 2012, with the Linux version being released in September 2014. It features classic content, such as revamped versions of classic maps, as well as brand new maps, characters and game modes. Cross-platform multiplayer was planned between Windows, OS X, Linux, and PlayStation 3 players, but was ultimately limited to Windows, OS X, and Linux because of the difference in update-frequency between systems.

1 - Launch Options

The first thing you can do to improve your Counter-Strike experience is changing some launch options on Steam. Here's a little tutorial on how it can be done. Make sure to keep in mind that those options are optional.

PS: Changing start options might not always help or change your experience or/and performance.

Here's a guide that may help you (Credits: Lightstep):

2 - Your settings

Counter-Strike: Global-Offensive has this very nice feature that let you change the look of your in-game HUD, Crosshair and more! You also have to keep in mind that your sensitivity must be as sweet as possible. I totally recommend using a low-medium sensitivity, keep in mind that having a lower sensitivity will always be better because you will be more precise. Changing those as you want will help you a lot. There's a lot of maps on the workshop to do this, but I highly recommend those.

You can change your sensitivity in your mouse settings (If you have a mouse DPI changer) and with the in-game settings. A tutorial video will follow those lines.

3 - Pratice Utilities

A lot of players in CS:GO forgets about theirs utilities. You must know how to use them, they will save a lot of your games once you start using them! Think of your utilities, they are worth a lot. As for the settings, there's a lot of maps on the workshop to do this, but I highly recommend those.

4 - Practice Maps

Every Counter-Strike map has its own specialty, spots and stuff. Knowing them more than your opponent is what makes you win the game a lot of the time. You may wanna train with the maps on the workshop, there is a lot of them to do this, but I highly recommend the following.

I've showcased one video here, but they are all the same.
5 - Practice your aim

Practicing your aim is the main or close to the main thing to do besides knowing your CS maps. Your aim and reaction time is what will make you a lot better. Your aim alone won't be enough to be good at Counter-Strike. You have to practice your reaction time and in-game sense. Knowing how to aim is still a huge advantage for you.As for the settings, there's a lot of maps on the workshop to do this, but I highly recommend those.

6 - Team spirit

You are playing a Competitive Game which is played in Team. If you're not able to have a good sense of communication and/or good teamwork, you won't go far in a team based game. Make sure you call al the necessary, but not too much and make sure you respect your team, they're the one that will make you win or lose. Your team is like your family for 50 minutes, be nice.

There's is no map to practice it, just be nice and calls, please.
