You can easily achieve this, just take her as someone you'd dislike and don't care about her.

Because according to our research, she never actually cares about you, she just wants to bang you at a certain point, so ditch her right from the start.

Best ending is moving on and be with Emma. The game tell you multiple times that "Life flies by, don't wait"

If you keep trying to be with Emily you'll end up with no one on your side. "It sucks when people change." Sadly Emily change too and we turn into different people, and sometimes, that is where our stories stop intersecting

Saying that college is good and that you and emma are more than friends is probably the best ending. Unfortunelly this game is not designed for you to have a good ending so it is what it is.

Actually, being a total asshole to her is only the second best ending. If you manage to maintain the friendship but keep her at an arms distance, you will have an option to leave the chat once she gets back together with travis in 2005 (the last one?). It will literally say "(your name here) is away"
