How to get platinum every time

The Steps

Step 1, Ignore the tutorial video (good luck, can't even skip it).
Step 2, Read everything in the How to Play menu, all 18 items.

Step 3, Start with a 4th wall tee-off by holding C before clicking.
Step 4, Get your smashbreaker up by any means.
Step 5, Use your smashbreaker and wreck havoc.
Step 6, Hold Space to use DANGER TIME and have very fine control over the ball.

Step 7, Before your smashbreaker runs out, aim for the flag pole.
Step 8, Once you're SURE you've lined up, and while in DANGER TIME, move the camera to the side so you can see the flag approaching.

Take your pick of the next two:
Step 9a, When the ball is EXACTLY over the hole, hit F to drop it in the hole and get an airdrop bonus.
Step 9b, When the ball is travelling exactly towards the hole, hold Ctrl to drop the ball and roll it in, allowing you to start again with your smashbreaker ready.

Step 10, Earn a second tee off, and wreck even MORE havoc.
Repeat steps 7 to 9 as often as possible.

Step 4, Get your smashbreaker up by any means.
Step 5, Use your smashbreaker and wreck havoc.
Step 6, Hold RB to use DANGER TIME and have very fine control over the ball.

Step 7, Before your smashbreaker runs out, aim for the flag pole.
Step 8, Once you're SURE you've lined up, and while in DANGER TIME, move the camera to the side so you can see the flag approaching.

Take your pick of the next two:
Step 9a, When the ball is EXACTLY over the hole, hit LT + RT (together) to drop it in the hole and get an airdrop bonus.
Step 9b, When the ball is travelling exactly towards the hole, hold LT to drop the ball and roll it in, allowing you to start again with your smashbreaker ready.

Repeat steps 7 to 9 as often as possible.

Additional

Try to find the golden sauce bottle for bonus points.
There's one hidden in each level... apparently...

To answer my own question, it does work well on a gamepad even though it is fiddly. On a keyboard no luck so far.

At step 7, can you change course while using smashbreaker?

Awww I figured this out on day 1 of release and got number 1 in the world on like every map going, guessing they won't be there anymore :(

To understand Step 3, please follow step 2

A "4th Wall" tee off will hit the ball against the camera, which gives more points.

This is REALLY helpful. THat tut video is CRAP, makes it confusing. I was unaware danger time even existed, so this helps tremendously.
i dont understand step 3 though
