Parry Prison Bus (Mafia II)

“They had no idea who I was working for, and I wasn’t about to tell ‘em.” - Vito Scaletta.

Welcome to the world of rising mafia wise guy Vito Scaletta. In Chapter 6 of the Mafia II game Vito has been thrown the book. The Empire Bay Police Department heard word from a snitch that Vito had been illegally distributing federal ration stamps. After sentencing, Vito is locked for transport on the fictitious Parry Bus and sent to prison. The Parry Bus is based on the GM ‘Old Look’ transit bus.

Just as this prison bus transported Vito to the pen, now you can do so with your cims as well. If placed by roadside of prison, cons and ex-cons alike will make their way to and from your prison.

“For your crimes against the people of this city and of this great country, this court hereby sentences you to ten years in a federal penitentiary.” – Empire Bay Court Judge

BrowncoatTrekky, I wouldn't mind a little graphical weirdness in front of the prison, as long as the asset worked as a prison van. I wasn't so lucky, in my tests. I created a copy of your vehicle and set it as a prison "van" using Item Class Changer. The new vehicle tried to spawn, but it would de-spawn while still perpendicular to the prison exit. The count would briefly show 1/5 vehicles, then it would revert to 0/5. I tried a different prison vehicle (with more of van-like footprint), and it worked fine. So I'm guessing the length of the vehicle was giving me grief.

My apologies @Stephen the weirdness I was referring to was the poking poking into the textures of the prison and then reversing to pick up more prisoners. It was something I wanted to avoid when the piece was commissioned. Many thanks for taking an interest.

Understood. Service Vehicles Manager lets you set it as the ONLY prison vehicle, if you like, so there would be no weirdness of a prison being serviced by both a van and a bus.

Hey @Stephen built as bus as seen in pics because felt too awkward with bus overlapping with vanilla prison model. Place the stop in front and you will see plenty entering and exiting prison via that stop. You can also create some sort of drive thru area for the bus to make the appearance more consistent that it is not an average bus stop. Happy building.

Sadly, it does not work like a prisoner transport van. I tried to assign it to the prison using Service Vehicles Manager, but it wasn't available as an option.

Was not subbed to the thread @[c.B] Lionel23 used the propsnap mod with a NGON police station. Each are easily found in workshop. Forgot where the sign was from though. Assumed you found by now.
