NOTICE
  • Achievements cannot be earned while playing with any mods.
  • Choosing "Restart Game" from the options after starting a game will also disable achievements. You must return to the main menu and setup a new game altogether.

Sponsors & World Type Achievements
Four new factions have been added to the game, winning with either one of them regardless of difficulty, map type and map size unlocks the achievement.

Salam - Win a game as Al Falah
Sponsor bonus: Yield from City Development increased to 150%.

Shadow and Light - Win a game as Chungsu
Sponsor bonus: Start with one free Covert Agent. Each successful Covert Operation in a foreign city rewards 10 Science per Agent rank.

Thy Sea So Great - Win a game as North Sea Alliance
Sponsor bonus: Aquatic cities have 50% more Strength and cost 50% less Production to move.

Willing is Not Enough - Win a game as INTEGR
Sponsor bonus: Agreements cost 50% less Diplomatic Capital. Purchasing units and buildings costs 25% less Diplomatic Capital.

Two new world types have also been added.

The Frontier is Everywhere - Win a game on a Primordial planet
A world only recently become habitable by alien and human life alike, it is characterized by its barren rocky terrain and overall volcanic and "fresh" appearance.

Winter is Coming - Win a game on a Frigid planet
Far past its prime, Frigid biomes are frozen wastelands covered in glacial hulks rather than mountains with seas appearing to be choked with ice floes.

It makes the most sense to complete these achievements simultaneously. For instance play as Lena Ebner from INTEGR while playing on a Frigid planet.
Artifacts & Expeditions
Artifacts have been added to Beyond Earth in the Rising Tide expansion. In this system, players collect and combine relics for powerful bonuses or buildings.

It Belongs in a Museum - Find an Artifact
This one is pretty easy you just need to find one artifact (Progenitor, Old Earth Relic or Alien Biology) if you start the game and sent out your explorer you should find it quickly.

You Have Chosen Wisely - Cash in an Artifact of each category
There are 3 kinds of artifact to find:

  • Old Earth Relics are the most commonly found of the three artifact types. They are most easily acquired by recovering Resource Pods. One can also be recovered by having an explorer perform an expedition on several different types of expedition sites: Crashed Satellite, Derelict Settlement, Sunken Spacecraft, Sunken Vehicle, or Wrecked Colony Lander.
  • Alien Biology Artifacts are most readily found by pillaging Alien Nests. One can also by found by performing an expedition on an Alien Skeleton or a Kraken Nest.
  • Progenitor Artifacts are the most rare of the three types. One can only be found by performing an expedition on Progenitor Ruins or a Progenitor Device, both of which are relatively uncommon expedition sites.

'X' Never Marks the Spot - Collect 50 Artifacts
This one's a bit more time consuming here are the methods:

  • pillaging Alien Nests
  • recovering Resource Pods
  • perform an expedition on a expedition site (Crashed Satellite, Derelict Settlement, Sunken Spacecraft, ruins, etc)
Fortune and Glory - Build all Artifact Wonders
To get this achievement you need to collect Progenitor artifacts and combine them in the artifacts tab to unlock new wonders. Try different combinations to unlock them all.
Don't forget to actually build the wonder instead of just unlocking it.

There are a total of 6 wonders to be unlocked.
  • Dimension Folding Complex - -50% Unhealth from City Population
  • Machine Assisted Free Will - Leaf technology costs 15% less Science
  • Quantum Politics - +20% Virtue acquisition speed
  • Relativistic Data Bank - -1 intrigue per turn in all cities
  • Temporal Calculus - All Units Gain +100% Visibility
  • Tesselation Foundry - Military Units complete 30% faster

Also, don't forget to check your achievements debug log (C:\Users\[YOUR NAME]\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\Logs) to see which of the artifact wonders you might have already built.

Liberty Bell 7 - Complete an Expedition on an aquatic crashed satellite
Marvel Quests
Marvels have been introduced to Beyond Earth in the Rising Tide expansion. Unless the player specifically chooses to disable them, every Rising Tide map will have at least one marvel quest.

All marvels take up three hexes. (Except for the massive meteorite crater which takes up four.) Every biome has a unique marvel, and water has a unique marvel.

Once a Marvel is found, a quest begins for all players, which requires players to explore the map to find various items. The quest is separated into two parts, requiring the player to gather a single sample and then two (or more, corresponding to your game speed; marathon requires 9) additional samples. Once the quest is complete the player will gain a bonus. Unlike wonders, multiple civilizations may complete these quests. Different factions can complete the same marvel quest, as well. Any unit can be used to explore Marvels.

Know I'm a little late to the party on this one, but for the Ahimsa achievement (win without starting a war), It only counts if you dont start wars. Which means if another player (or the AI) declares war on you, you are still eligible for the Achievement that game.

You need to complete the entire marvel quest before the game ends.

Do you need to finish the marvel quests before qinning the game? I finished one quest after I had won the game but the debug-file states that I haven't done the quest.

Took a look over the discussion page seems lots of people have trouble with this one, try this:

If you really care about getting all the achievements, there's a quick way of unlocking Terror from the Deep. Simply start a 2-player (both humans) hot-seat game. Make sure that both you and the opponent are aquatic civs (NSA or Chungsu). Then, build 2 gunboats and 1 melee boat as one player, and simply skip turns as the second one. Once you've done that, conquer the other player's aquatic city and you should get the achievement. This is a cheap way of getting this achievement, but considering that there are obvious problems with unlocking it, you may as well try it. The whole process shouldn't take you more than 15-20 min. Just make sure you start a quick game on a duel-size planet.

That's what I did, three times, still no achievement.

You can't have any land cities at all so if you take one make sure to set it ablaze and it must be destroyed by the end of the game. That's why you have to make sure everyone starts with an aquatic city because you can't destroy capital cities.
