You're a Finn, I presume. Why not do the Rk 95 (7.62mm version for AK; 5.56mm version for M16/SCAR) since that is the FDF's current service rifle?

Makes sense. Stabilize or not, the reload is way too smooth right now, defying any physics. But I know you'll get it right.

@ Alex_D_Vasilkov: I based the animations to local military doctrine (at least it was around 2013 - 2014). To put it short: You'd put stock under your arm to stabilize the weapon when reloading, running, etc.

That being said, I've being tweaking the animations more (I actually updated the animations once already), but won't probably be updating them before I'm really satisfied with the result.

When you detach the magazine you normally press a somewhat strong spring-loaded mag catch lever, while pulling the magazine downwards and the rifle itself upwards. After they disconnect, the parts sort of continue moving in the opposite directions for a few moments because you didn't yet stop pulling them.

Similar things happen on mag-in: you rock the magazine into the mag well, your hand still goes the "braking distance" by trying to move the mag even further, causing the rifle to travel some distance as well.

Same for pulling the bolt. Even when you pull the bolt to the very end, you still keep pulling it even further, just to make sure. When you release it, it quickly slams back to the front, transferring some of its kinetic energy to the whole rifle, sorta making 'er jump forward.
