I foolishly try to obtain the Eternal Apprentice title by having Lloyd keep his starting weapon equipped for the first stretch of the game. On my first playthrough. On hard difficulty. Whoops.

Tales of Symphonia is a RPG with an active fighting system. Your performance, ultimately, is decided by your ability position yourself and control the battlefield. However, more than that, it has an incredibly deep world and well-written characters that keep you engaged...even while some of the puzzles and area designs can be frustrating. Rich with collectibles, different paths, and an in-depth New Game + system, it makes each subsequent playthrough worth it. ...though, uh, don't try harder difficulties until you're on your second playthrough. When they say hard, they MEAN hard.
