East Coast Main Line - Echoes Of Steam v1.0

Welcome to my workshop route - a reworking of the original ECML route. It's not totally historically accurate, a "what if"route where semaphores and the absolute block signalling system lasted a lot longer than reality. I've set it in 1962 so I could use the early diesels as well as steam. The stations are the ones still open at that date.

This is my first route(I've retired from the railways after 30 years), so I've still not mastered the black art that is track laying, and thus have changed very little from the original....

The route is AWS fitted at most Distant signals where the line speed is 30mph +(although some refused to work correctly so I've left them out).
If you get a horn where the signal is showing clear, although this is technically a code 2 fault, this is just an indication that the signal box block section in advance is not clear. The only colour lights I have used are outer distants.There are working water troughs at Wiske Moor.

There are new stations at Tollerton, Otterington and Ferryhill, and although they are not perfect they don't look too bad! There are plenty of QD markers and the AI markers are all assigned to Custom 1 - 8 so you can create your own consists and drop them in. There are also a couple of Free Roam scenarios.
