How to bypass game crashing bug

This guide will tell you how to get past the game crashing bug that occurs when you try to give the bone or grass evidnece to the the scientist in Scotland Yard after returning from Epping Forest.

The fix

Before you speak to the scientist (who looks suspicously like Bill Nye), save the game. Now speak to him, and when he asks for the evidence, give the bone. At the same time, press the esc key. This should stop the crash. After hearing about the bone, do the same thing with the grass, pressing the esc key when you pass it to the scientist.

Notes

You may have to try this multiple times to get it to work

the grass does not make a bug, even given 1rst, just the bone, I'll try again with your trick... but the other problem is that no game can be saved, only the automatic save you do when you apply "save" in the menu. I'll let you know. thank you.
