Island Description and info

Isolated from the mainland, the Con Dao Islands are one of the star attractions in Vietnam. Long the Devil’s Island of Indochina, the preserve of political prisoners and undesirables, this place is now turning heads thanks to its striking natural beauty. Con Son, (the real Name) Is the largest of this chain of 15 islands and islets, is ringed with lovely beaches, coral reefs and scenic bays, and remains partially covered in thick Jungles. In addition to hiking, diving and exploring empty coastal roads and deserted beaches. Although I edited the original island to be more Playable on, many of the real features are still there.

Island Facts: This island in real life was a prison island. The island was used to keep the most dangerous criminals of Vietnam.

How It's done

The island was imported from heightmap and was edited to be playable on. The waterfall added to the map to give more detail and beauty.Tree density is high as In the real life and some beaches actually exist. The Reefs, Beaches, lagoons and few islands were all made by me.

The Challenge

The challenge for this island is finding places to build and zone your city. I personally find it hard finding a suitable airport area and places to zone industrial. It’s really determined on how you design your city and how you overcome different challenges.

I highly Recommend using The Just Tropical Map Theme for this map, although it is not needed for this map to be playable It gives the the map more color and similarity to the real Island
