HOW TO GET CAESAR IV WORKING!

This guide is for people getting the runtime error when attempting to launch the game. Compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10. (This might not work for everyone. Post below if it works for you.)

Easy Fix
~ Find the game's folder on your computer. Default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Caesar 4\C4

~ Find and run RegisterDLL.bat as an administrator.

~ Now try launching the game to confirm that it works.

Tested on Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit & Windows 10

Note: if the game still doesn't run then try setting its compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2

lmfao i have no idea why this worked but it did. Thanks, man. Been wanting to play this game for years. Used to have it on disc back in the day.

It will not start at all, tryed to do the "easy fix" founded all the file and tryed run as admin. But it still would not start. It says missing D3DX9_29.DLL...

Downloading the DLL file from Microsoft worked perfectly

I just changed my computer and it does not run on my computer anymore. I have also Window 11 pro / 32 gb RAM and intel i9 so should be good enough. Thank you!!
