Oh yea I forgot to mention, the developer NovaSilisko said that Laythe will have volcanism and high radiation levels in future updates. So Laythe may be a hostile moon (and more Io-like) in the future.

How did you find this picture anyway. I don't see any mutual friends between us. Were you just randomly looking around?

Well it is an analog to Titan when it comes to its atmosphere and ocean, but it is an analog to Jupiter's moon Io when it comes to the orbital resonance, just like the real-life moons Io, Europa, and Ganymede.

It may also be a reference to the moon Pandora from Avatar, as they both are very Earth-like, but their atmospheres are too toxic for humans to breathe.

Therefore, Laythe doesn't have an actual real world analog.

I thought Laythe was very similar to Titan, one of Saturn's moons.

More like Jupiter than Saturn
