This mod is cool and all but it just makes everything overpowered. I just want Sonic sphere and aqua sphere to get a speed buff and rocket jump to actually be a rocket jump instead of just floating.

Not gonna lie, This feels too overpowered all around the board. The only thing i like about this mod is the sprint to jump feature.

Nice mod, agree with spikeball being a bad change though

For anyone that wants to change this themselves, you could just delete the files related to the spikeball, takes about five minutes including the time it takes to look up a guide to figure out how to unpack & repack mods [community.playstarbound.com].

You don't need to look up a non workshop version to do this. Just open starbound, click the gear icon on bottom right main menu, locate this mod, and it should list the file path.

Once unpacked, delete the files below, then repack it and replace the original file.

@Daunmi - could always just look into the files and try undo the changes to the Spike sphere your self - Just get the non-steam version of the mod for easy modding, quite simple i'd reckon.

Every time I find a mod that changes tech, to do the ONE thing I want (allow jump tech while sprinting), it also completely screws over the Spike Ball tech by making it faster.

Glad I read the comments before I bothered to subscribe.

@Areso I agree.

Instead, why not give spike sphere something like armor boost? Melee damage reflection? Or just simply reduce energy cost so we can climb around faster. It was already an amazing tech in vanilla, not much is needed to be changed. If the spike sphere can't be readjusted, sadly, I'll have to unsubscribe.

Everything is great except for two things I've noticed so far. The blink tech has too much distance. It's turned into a speed travel tech rather than a great way to get passed those annoying traps or a quick back stab on enemies. It was fine with the distance it had before, but the other changes made work really well with it. The other, is the spike sphere. This is a major problem that should be fixed because it completely breaks the tech in many scenarios. It's obviously used to get into the tiny spaces while also being the best tech for vertical ascension. Due to the insane speed, it will often just cause you to fly off the cliff via speed launch rather than curve around the corners and keep going. The same goes for when going around those ceilings, you'll often just launch off whenever the terrain is too uneven. Lower the spike spheres speed back to where it was, for speedy travel we already had the sonic sphere and aqua sphere.

@Bubthebob
Sounds potentially like a great idea, I'll look into it the next time I'm playing the game itself, since that's pretty much the only time I developed this mod further.
