Arena CTF - Grotto

This map was created for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It is not playable in Counter-Strike 2.

When CSGO was changed to CS2, Valve moved over the entire CSGO workshop to CS2. That's why this workshop item is listed as a map for "Counter-Strike 2" and not CSGO.

If you want to play this map you need to switch to the "csgo_legacy" beta branch in Counter-Strike 2.

To do this:

Find Counter Strike 2 in your steam library.

Right click "Counter Strike 2", select properties.

Select Betas. There's a drop down menu next to "Beta Participation". Open it and select "csgo_legacy".

Your game will update. Once the update finishes, loading up Counter-Strike 2 should load CSGO instead.

From here you can play the map normally.

It’s 3v3 Capture the Flag with weapon pickups, teleporters, armor pickups and health pickups. The first team to score 8 flag caps wins!

Player movement speed has been increased.

Bunny hopping is easier.

There is no buy menu, all weapons except your pistol are pickups.

There is no fall damage.

Blue armor: 200 health + helmet + kevlar

Yellow armor: Kevlar, no helmet

Small health packs: These heal 5 health but they overheal you to a max of 150

Large health packs: These heal 50 health but they only heal you to a max of 100.

Just play it like any other workshop map! You can either play it by selecting it from the workshop page or by typing in "map lcz_ctf_grotto_v1" in your console. All you need to do is just subscribe to map on the workshop and that’s it! Everything is included with the bsp. No need for server plugins.

Below is a list of all of the creators of the custom assets/prefabs/instances that I used in the creation of this map:

I used his “F4ST” prefabs/instances as a base to work off of to create my weapon pickups and to increase player speed/gravity etc. Also other elements such as the jumpads are from his prefab pack.

I used his “CTF” game type prefabs as a base to work off of to create the CTF game mode. I believe the flag models are by Tophattwaffle.

I used some models and textures from his “de_castle” asset release.

I used some of their assets from their “Black Mesa” game (play it!).

I used some TF2 assets in this map. Of course they also made the editor and csgo itself etc.
