Somehow it runs worse now than few years back on the same computer. Now its running worse on 8th generation Intel and GTS 1050 than it did in the past on DuoCORE and GTX 250.

I'm fairly certain about that. When I bought my computer at the end of 2011 I had 32Gb installed in it. It may be a little over the top, but you can never have enough RAM.

@Piano Man: 16GB?? I built several high-end 680i/780i SLI systems w/ Core 2 Quads & 8800 GTX/Ultra's in 2007... 4GB DDR2 1066MHz was high-end back then, heck 8GB was the max capacity for most high-end skt 775 motherboards. I think you may be mistaken ; )

I remember buying a new 2.6Ghtz computer with a GeForce 8800GTX and 16 GB RAM just to I could play this bitch. Well worth it. It may not have been 60fps, but damn, I had the graphics cranked up high.
