Basic Information
Yo Dawg, i heard you like games. So we put a game in your game.....

Dungeons and Takafumis (D&T) is:

a top-down SRPG mini-game within the actual game Tomoyo After ~It's a wonderful life~

In the steam version it is available right from the start.

In other game-versions it became available once you have beaten the original game.
To activate it you have to start a new playthrough, reach july 20th and select option "i want to play"

This game has an actual manual

You can load it from the D&T main menu. However, this created insane Lag for me, so..

You can also find it in you games folder (....common\Tomoyo After ~It's a Wonderful Life~ English Edition\manual) and open it manually.

How does it work?

The battle is automated after you pre-select your actions

There is no money in the game. All items have to be looted.

Potions can be replenished for free at the ground floor.

There are a total of 50 floors.

You can only load, save and change your jobs on the ground floor.

You only get experience for your character if he/she survives a victorious battle.

You can speed up the combat by pressing the Ctrl-key

Items
A list of all items in the game is supposed to be here. Unfortunately, there are so many that steam can't handle it.

If you have a proper translation tool and are still interested you can check this out:

http://www7.atwiki.jp/tafter_tad/pages/6.html

Achievements
Most of the steam achievements are pretty self-explaining.
You will meet all the different Takafumis as you progress in the game.

However, some are not so clear. That's why here is an explanation of

How Ranks work / how to achieve S-Rank:

Your Rank is determined by how long it takes to complete the game.

• 03 days to 07 days: S rank
• 08 days to 09 days: A rank
• 10 days to 14 days: B rank
• 15 days to 19 days: C rank
• 20 days to 25 days: D rank
• 26 days or more: E rank

Keep in mind that you are forced out of the dungeon after floors 35 and 45, so consider these 2 days in your calculations.

How to reach Level 99

Keep in mind that, on the first playthrough, there is a time limit of 3 days on the last 5 floors.
However, after you beat the game once you can retreat as often as you wish.
Once you have beaten the final boss, the game is over and you can't progress any further.
In order to reach Level 99 with any character you basically have to grind through floors 41 - 44 over and over on the first playthrough; or floors 46-49 if you have previously beaten the game.

How to be Fuko Master

You have to use Tomoyas personal skill "Summon Fuko" or "Fuko Decoy" in the last floor and make her survive.
According to Kuzu she also has to land the last hit.

How to obtain Excalibur

Your best chance is by setting someone to search on floors 41 - 50.
I got my first drop on floor 47 on the level 99 run.

How to obtain the Starfish

Though some say this item is a complete mystery or a hoax, your best chance is by setting someone to search on the last 10 floors.
For me, it dropped on floor 47 on my level 99 run. It appears to be purely random, since i did not set anyone to search, neither did i summon Fuko.

About Full mastery

Achieving Full mastery is hard.
In fact, it's so hard that it's actually easier to get the "complete" achievement before full mastery

At the moment, it seems not 100% clear how to unlock this achievement.
Apparently, it used to have been sufficient to just learn all available job skills (from every job of course) spread across your whole team.
However, this didn't work in the steam version, because there was something wrong with the code.

EDIT: The current update should have fixed the issue about full mastery, so:

You really just have to learn all job skills :) It can be spread across your team and it also doesn't have to be in one playthrough.

I think it is kinda weird to the achievements Fuko master
The achievement description only state Complete D&T with Fuko, but it doesn't mention anything like Fuko must be the final hit . It will better to state the requirement clearly

I just got Excalibur two times in a row 0_0
Ryssen 31 Dec, 2016 @ 11:46am
@TrevorAngry oh okay. It's just that I spend around 170 days on level 41-44 (I haven't beaten the game yet). You'd think I'd have found it by now. I'll do what you said about the lvl 99 achievement though, thanks.
LeVio 29 Dec, 2016 @ 4:11am
@Ryssen
The first time i got to lvl 99 i received no achievement also. Luckily i had a backup save file around lvl 86, and after getting to level 99 the second time, i finally got my reward.
About the Starfish and Excalibur, the are no problems with those as far as i know, except that they are really hard to find. If you keep grinding through levels 41-49 you will eventually get them.
Ryssen 28 Dec, 2016 @ 3:27pm
Yeah I grinded Kanako to lvl 99 but didn't get the achievement. I also didn't find neither the Starfish or the Excalibur while repeating floor 41-44.
Kuhiro 24 Sep, 2016 @ 4:14am
Ok....
It already pisses me off...
I got all job skills twice....
No achievement... I lost all strenght already
Can anybody help?

The Fuko Master achievement
Although I let Fuko land the last hit,I still didn't get the achievement. Is Tomoya must alive too?
Asimmacovski 14 Aug, 2016 @ 12:31pm
Well I wanted to get it the legit way after the update, so I started a new game and grinded levels and job skills. Short story: It still didn't unlock for me, I guess Fuko cursed me. ^^
Kuzu  [developer] 5 Aug, 2016 @ 11:01pm
The bug should be fixed with the new update, but unfortunately it will require unlocking all the job skills again. I am not looking for more affected saves, but if you would like me to update the save file (manually) so that the jobs are logged correctly, I would be more than happy to do so. Just shoot me a message on my profile.
Asimmacovski 25 Jul, 2016 @ 10:58am
While grinding for the 99 level achievement I'm pretty sure that I learned all job skills with Tomoyo. Maybe it's even bugged with her and not just with Tomoya. If you still need more affected saves files let me know. ^^
