There is only one thing to do: close game using Windows Task Manager. The process name is moai-sdl.exe

2. Any idea how to actually start game once again?

In my case, simply changing moai-sdl compatibility to Windows 7 worked. Not sure why it makes troubles while using Windows 7 with Service Pack.

Everything in this guide are only informations gathered from forums. I myself had trouble to run Freedom Fall once again and doing this simply thing helped to fix it.
