If the game just freezes on launch (just the splashscreen shows up) and you tried all the solutions provided without any progress, here's one more thing you can try.
The culprit is most likely the faulty OpenAL32.dll audio library. Here's the workaround to the problem.

• Navigate to Open AL soft[kcat.strangesoft.net] page
  
• Download file
  openal-soft-1.17.2-bin.zip
  (Windows only)
  
• Extract the archive somewhere convinient (like desktop)
  
• Navigate to the extracted folder (the defult name is openal-soft=1.17.2-bin)
  
• Navigate to bin subfolder an then to win32 or win64 folder depending on your version of Windows
  
• You will find the file
  soft_oal.dll
  Rename this file to
  OpenAL32.dll
  regardless of which version of Windows you use.
  
• Copy the renamed file to ...\Alien Breed Impact\Binaries\ folder and overwrite existing file.
  
• Enjoy the game
