Solution to the dreaded Minesweeper puzzle

If only there was a way to place flags, this might not have been so grueling. The visuals don't make it particularly easy to see much of the playfield at once, but at least there are plenty of red markers from the 90 bombs I exploded before deciding this guide absolutely had to be made.

Just start at the yellow line and go right. Anything red or solid blue is a bomb.

In hindsight I probably could have just set every damn one of them off faster than it took me to solve this monster. Hopefully this saves at least one other person an hour of their life.

I tried solving it, then gave up and just blew them all up. "Dreaded" is being too polite, especially if you don't play/like Minesweeper. =/

holding left click on a square marks it green (flagged), hope this helps!

Indeed I figured out the puzzle was different each time you reload the game...
Stupid achievement, won't bother to get a 100% on this one :(

doesnt work, the game build every new save load a new random generated puzzle.

Unfortunately not. I'm usually pretty good about backing up saves whenever I'm done with a game, but I must have missed this one. I'm not sure if it would have been usable either way though. IIRC it autosaves all your progress, so my file probably would have just shown the game as already finished.

i did the cold bloody subject trophy and i had ~15 tested runs, how to see, is it a solution pool or completly random. never ever was it the same solution, i think it is random (like the key panel @ laser room, plant and the bloom, or the 5x5 panel @ temple).

but a minesweeper guide is not wrong, the forum had many threads with people with not minesweeper experience. jiffies give you the hint with the marker, so why not a howto?

Please don't. This guide may be useful anyway, because I've read the minesweeper is not totally random. It has 3 or 4 possibilities ; your guide is one of them.
It is easy to verify : click the first red marker after the yellow line, if it's red, then we can go further. If not, reload and try again.
I will try this when I will play for the achievement.

I was afraid that might be the case. Thanks for confirming. I may go ahead and remove this guide here in a bit then since it obviously won't be much help if the puzzles are randomly generated.

The placement of my bombs differed from what is shown on these images. Also, press and hold left mouse button to place a green marker.
