ZBs Tropical Theme v1

Beskrivelse
My first attempt at a 'terrain theme'. The biggest changes are the cliff, water, and sand textures. Most other colors (pollution, resources) are similar to default.

I changed the terrains of the cliff, sand and water textures to more accurately reflect 'tropical' themes. IE rainforest cliffs, white sandy beaches and 'teal colored' water.

While this theme only requires the theme mod, I highly recommend subscribing to the theme creator as well. It will allow you to make color adjustments 'in-game' if you so choose.

I welcome suggestions and feedback.

Edit: Feb 23, 2016 - I have re-created this theme using the Snowfall DLC 'theme editor'. Here is the link: http://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=630844579

I do intend to convert this (and its sequel) at some point to map theme since the terrain mod is obsolete now. They will both work without the mod regardless.

Just had to click on this and join all the others saying that the screenshot looks like something straight out of minecraft.

Must download it for that, lol:P

So it looks like a Minecraft Alpha theme. Dunno is that's intentional, but I'm diggin' it.

I actually downloaded a bunch of textures and put them in folders labeled 'cliff', 'sand' etc. And while I'm in game, I have a shortcut to the TT creator folder open and I just copy and paste the textures to test them out. You have to reload the theme after each time but it's easier than having to exit the game entirely.

Thank you for an explanation. Yes, I modified the fertile land color in Terrain Themes Creator. I'm going to modify water and ground pollution colors too. As for ore, oil and other textures I tried I tried to make them ready to use without modifications in Terrain Creator. I've taken into account that somebody could want to use one or more of them in another terrain theme and he could be surprised of their appearance different than in my theme. Just a thought, maybe useful for somebody, maybe not :)

I actually tried several textures. The gravel and pavement ones I had originally, did not show up well so I found better textures. Especially the pavement one. It wasn't a 'smooth' texture blend. So I went with a plain texture for the pavement and I went with a more 'detailed' gravel texture (sandy pebbles). I also used an external imaging program to get the 'lighting' of each texture just right (brightness, contrast, saturation etc). They can be misleading because all the textures show up much brighter in the game.

You can actually change the coloring of the forestry, ore, oil, fertile land, water pollution and ground pollution in the themes creator. It just takes a lot of 'trial and error'. The only good purpose for the oil/ore coloring is to let you know where the resource is located.

I wish I had gone with a more 'yellow' fertile land color, but I'll probably do that with my next theme.

I'll see about getting better cliff and sand texture pics.

It seems your terrain theme is better than I expected! :)
1. In which way did you adjust the roadside stripe (photo No. 2)? I had some problems with it and I'm not satisfied of its current look in my terrain themes
2. I like the sand texture, I need to look at it closer in the game :) (the same for cliff)
3. Fertile and forest floor are made by offset, ore and oil are separate textures. Would be interesting to mix ore and oil not only with basic grass, but with fertile and forest floor too. We could probably see some interesting combinations :)
