Breaking The Meta: Medic MVM
By Lichwood
In MvM, medic is simple and frustrating. And the whole kritzakreig thing and walking around, and helping your heavy, just doesn't get enough credit, nor fun. Worst of all, if the team loses you will usually get the blame! Well, I've been expirementing with some new loadouts for medic, and surprisingly I got a GREAT game using the darn quick-fix! NOT JOKING! The quick-fix is admittedly a little slow in the beginning but your despensable uber will keep your self and your teammates alive. With the right upgrades this crappy weapon becomes one of the best ever seen. Best of all it is fun, quirky and your teammates will love you (after they inicially shout at you for being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and picking the quick-fix).

Introduction / Persuation (No seriously you probably think I am idiot)
Before you start banging your hear against the table for me saying the quick-fix is good in MvM, listen... well read..

The Quick-Fix is a weak weapon, I get it, and I agree. But if you get the right upgrades you will win.
Because think about, if I have the kritzakrieg, I will get my teammates krits and the canteen uber, if I have the quick-fix, I will not let my team die, and if they die, I will respawn them in less then 2 seconds.

Just continue to read, it is not that hard.
Loadout and Upgrades.
The Loadout I used was:

The Crusader's Crossbow

The Quick-Fix

Ubersaw

note: The melee is not nesscerally the best option, choose what suits you.

Upgrades:
(This list will be in order)
(Canteen type: Crits or Uber)

1. One point in the shield
2. One point in healing mastery
3. One point in canteen specialist
4. Add a few points to healling mastery then add points to overheal expert
5. Max out overheal and healing mastery (healing mastery first)
6. max out uber modifiers (such as duration)
7. Max out the rest
8. Improve resist
Healing Focus and Ubercharge use
Do not ever stay still, nor healing only one person. Share the love man. When someone dies you either jump in to save them or heal wounded teammates, you have to be always one the move. Do not worry about spending your ubercharge in stupid situation, it is dispensable, most of the time you want to use it to keep yourself alive or to revive several teammates at a time.

Remember jumping in is not a bad idea, if you are going to save a friend, pop the uber on yourself save the friend and get out. Trust me it will not be hard at all. Other than that it is pretty much like playing with the normal medigun.
Getting by Teammates
We all know how toxic our community in MvM is.

And we all know that the little kid that somehow knows your mother, will try to kick you, many times. Try to find a comedic team, yes, let yourself be kicked in a bad enviroment. Afterwards when you have a polite team make it like a joke, as if you aren't really serious about using the quick-fix. Later, it will work.. very well..

Oh and demomans will get pissed, so... if you can have a friend as the demo that would be good, or just brush it off with a joke.
Change isn't scary
Many people will be scared of using the quick-fix, but trust me it is a good idea.

Don't believe me just watch! TUnanan TUn TUn.... bad pun...

But seriously just try it. And if you don't like it, try another medigun, but whatever you do... DO NOT TEASE others because they are also breaking the meta.

Change in the meta, should be renamed to improvement of the Meta,

Good luck, and I hope this has helped you.

The Quick Fix is much better in some situations than in others.

The QF really shines in situations where you just have a steady stream of small bots coming. Nothing tricky, no giant crit bots, no swarms of uber medics.

In that scenario, your best tool is actually your shield's quicker recharge rate. You can activate shield, then latch onto your Scout, and just mow down all the bots, and then heal your team to recharge your shield super quickly and do it again. Having your shield up for so much of the time is super helpful to the team, and with a little bit of practice you can actually become a solid damage class on certain maps.

I had fun with that load before reading the guide. Max heal rate, 1 shield and I would just activate the über when reviving and they wonder revive so quickly
