Before you get into the tunnel there are two jumps to make. When jumping you should do barrel rolls to refresh your heat. Then you will get through there fine.

Is this track missing refresh points? There was a hefty section right before the tunnel where there were no boost refresh points or walls/jumps to get trick refreshes.
