When you start a new game, choose challenge modes and play the Daily Challenge.

Now what you need to know is, the daily challenge always generates the same game for each character. And they are replayable! Unlike in other rougelike games.
Play the game as best as you can and write down all your clues on paper/text file. Parts of the banishment ritual, all kinds of runes and colours you encountered in the game. This is important in case you die on your first try.
If you die, restart the daily challenge and just go into a different direction on the map, opposed to your first path. This is because you might want to find different clues in other directions.
You can repeat various missions if they gave you decent money on your first try. (Yellow dots on the map)
Successfully finish the game by banishing the Ancient. At least roughly memorize where the summoning chamber is in Stonehenge, and the key for it if necessary. Write down the banishment ritual and the god's rune.
Restart the Daily Challenge with the same character. Gear up, and head straight to Stonehenge.
The dungeon will be the same every time unlike in a normal game. You can just banish the ancient with the ritual you already know.

Do this as many times as you like to farm xp. Ending A gives you about 20000 XP, although above level 8 it starts to get VERY grindy.
