Step 1
Download Sweetfx ReShade (http://reshade.me/sweetfx)

Step 2

Navigate to the .zip file and extract the entire contents to a new folder

Right click on "ReShade Setup.exe" and click "Run As Administrator"

Click "Select Game" and navigate to your Impossible Creatures directory and select IC.exe

Select "Direct3D 8"

All done! Now you can edit whatever SweetFX settings are your preference.

Hint: Settings are stored in "steamapps\common\Impossible Creatures\SweetFX"

Step 1

Open a browser and navigate to https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/

Step 2

Download the Age Of Empires 3 preset, AgeFX.

Hint: AgeFX is recommended by this guide but you can use whichever you like.

Step 3

Rename SweetFX_Settings_Age of Empires III_AgeFX to SweetFX_Settings

Step 4

Place the settings file into "steamapps\common\Impossible Creatures\SweetFX"

I've had this break the in-game Gamma slider, I don't know why or how to fix it.
