Gameplay Basics
So, you want to pretend to be a plane, eh? Clearly, this is the game for you. Cult of the Wind is an indie title, developed (and abandoned) by North of the Earth. In this game, you pretend to be a plane, and you shoot down other planes, whilst gaining points by capturing the other team's objective and delivering it to your base. Sounds simple enough, until you mix in all of the routes, powerups, weapons, and other players, it can become quite difficult to move the objective.

On the left, you can see a player holding the objective.

The objective must be delivered to one of these.

To hinder the other players and aid in the team effort, you can shoot down other players. Your main gun bullets are located in the bottom left. You must replenish these if they run out during your lifetime. Above that, is your secondary weapon, and your damage multiplier. The faster you run, the more damage you do. Also on your hud, is your fuel (you can't fly forever!), and your health, which are in the bottom right, and above that, respectively. When these are low, you can replenish them, as well.
Movement is also a large factor in this game, while the abilities largely aid in movement, it can be slightly clunky at first, but the only complaint that I have is the turning speed and acceleration. It can become very smooth if you begin to learn the shortcuts of the map. To jump, you must hold down the spacebar to charge it, it takes a minimal amount of time to fully charge (max about 1 second). Fall damage is a thing, but it's not a completely large factor, you'll mostly likely be worrying about other players more.
Pickups
To aid you in your quest of pretending to be a plane, you can pickup banners that allow for additional abilities.

Magenta banners provide instantaneous supplies, such as health, fuel, and main gun bullets.

Purple banners provide a strategic ability.

Orange banners provide a secondary weapon.

Abilities

High-Heat Phosphor Countermeasure
"Flare. Harmlessly detonates nearby enemy explosives."
Honestly, I don't find much use in this, I find it much more effective to out-maneuver the explosive.

High-Velocity Rounds
"Temporarily increases damage for all weapons."
Very useful, increases the max damage multiplier from 10x to 30x for a period of time, but you do still have to be moving at full speed to get that max.

Titanium Cladding
"Briefly makes you invulnerable."
Useful, bubble shield, enough said.

Pneumatic Ejector Seat
"Launches you high into the air."
Useful, used for either taking the flag or delivering it quickly, and can be used very effectively on the neutral flag map. Immediate use.

Auxiliary Fuel Tank
"Fills your fuel tank half-way."
Take it as you'd like.

Handi-Lad Quick Patch
"Repairs you by a small amount."
Take it as you'd like.

Hyperlaminar Turboprop
"Doubles your speed for a few seconds."
Very useful when you have just recieved the objective, you can go about halfway across the map with this. Takes a small time to charge.

Flashback
"Transforms you into an invulnerable airplane and dashes forward rapidly."
Useful for getting to the objective, not when you have it. If you use it while you have it, it will drop. It says 'dashes forward', but it really will dash in whatever direction the camera is pointed, allowing you to fly basically wherever.

Official Guide[www.northofearth.com]

This is the guide given in-game, but I don't believe it's very information or user-friendly, so I decided to create my own, so that people getting the game can see the only guide (at the time of publification) of the game.
