How to set your Resolution and FOV (1080p or higher)
By KobraKira
This guide will show you how to set the in-game resolution higher than it natively supports (1080p, 1440p, etc) and adjust your Field of View while playing.

Introduction
So, in this day and age, a lot of us have HD monitors/displays. Most being 1080p like mine. Painkiller however, does not allow for 1080p or higher natively, but it can still render them. You won't be able to change the resolution to 1080p or higher in the options menu, so in order for you to get the game to render 1080p or higher resolutions, follow these steps.
Set your Resolution
Go to "Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Painkiller Black Edition/bin", locate and open the config.cfg file in the folder and find this line:

"Cfg.Resolution ="

If you don't want to look through the cfg by scrolling, then press Ctrl + F to open a search prompt, and type "resolution". It should bring you straight to the command line.

Once your there, as the image suggests, type your resolution in the space between the " like this:

Cfg.Resolution = "1920x1080", or whatever your native resolution is. After that, save the changes, and your done with that!
Change you FOV while in-game
So how do you set your desired FOV while playing the game?

To change the FOV, open the command console with the tilde key ( ` ), then type "fov 110" or whatever you want it to. It'll stay that way for the rest of the game, but you can still change it whenever.
Conclusion
I hope this guide was helpful for you. It worked for me, and before you leave, let me tell you about the resolution tweak a little more. Once you set it, do not change the resolution in-game because it'll save what's selected instead of what you chose. Editing the graphics settings won't change the resolution however, so feel free to mess with them.

Let me know if this worked for you in the comments below, sign the pact, and take a trip through hell...in 1080p.
