Supported Controllers

Controllers:
During developement I used a older corded XBOX 360 USB to PC Controller and a Airtronics M11 RC Radio-to-USB VRC Dongle. You can use just about any style of controller that you wish. As long as the platform you are using it on recognizes it as a controller with axis or buttons you should be all set.

Officially supported Plug and Play Controllers:
(Note you can map, adjust or calibrate ANY controller in the in game menu. This is just an updated list of the controllers that default mapping in place. I will be adding them throughout the early access program.)

- Any Generic Dual Analog Game pads
- Any generic 2 Axis Transmitter-to-USB Dongles (VRC Adapters, Flying RC Adapters, Cheapo 5 Dollar ebays adapters.)
- XBOX360 USB for PC
- Sony DualShock Controller (Insten) and (My-power)
- XBOX One (Windows 10 Edition)
- XBOX One (Regular Windows XP and 7,8)
Controller Mapping Menu
Controller Setup:
You can get to the controller input settings by clicking the options button on the main HUD Screen. Then click on the Input button. You will then be taken to a full screen Controller Mapping and Calibration menu.

You should see any plugged in controller in the menu and if you would like to change it settings just click on it. Then you can remap any of the action categories that you wish. ie; Driving, Flying etc....

You can calibrate ANY axis by clicking on the calibrate and then choosing the axis from the drop down menu.

NOTES:
You can unplug and plug in any controller at anytime with the new Hot plugging system. Even if you change USB ports it will still remember the controller names and mapping. It will assign each controller a unique ID and save it for future loading.

Vehicle Mapping Suggestions
Required Axis for the Land Based Vehicles:
- 1 Throttle (+) axis for forward
- 1 Throttle (-) axis for reverse
- 1 Brake (+) axis for vehicle brakes

- 1 Throttle (full axis) axis for vehicle Throttle stick Position
- 1 Yaw (full axis) axis for vehicle Yaw stick Position
- 1 Pitch (full axis) axis for vehicle Pitch stick Position
- 1 Roll (full axis) axis for vehicle Roll stick Position

Required Axis for the Sea Based Vehicles:

NOTES:
Dont forget to map a button for Larry the Track "Marshal". He will come to your rescue when you need your vehicle up righted. If you get into some real trouble you can always just click the reset vehicle button on screen and go back the vehicles original spawn spot.

My VRC USB adapter is not working on my Mac. It's recognized but nothing happens when using the transmitter. It's works fine in VRC

Yeah. I have had limited testing on a mac with the steam controller.

Try unplugging the controller and then launching game with no controllers. Replug once running the game. I have heard about problems with the steam controller crashing games before but i have not had time to dig deeper yet.

Perhaps is it that i'm on a mac? I see and have selected your configs, but game then crashes on startup. Also when running the in-game options "use gamepad" is unavailable. So confused :(

Steam Controllers are supported. There should be a default config in the Steam controller setup area. I uploaded a config with my own steam controller about 6 months ago. I love flying the quads with the touchpads. I wish i could fly like this in real life. ;)

Steam Controller support? I was hoping to use this instead of my generic 2-axis usb controller. Is support/compatability going to be availble soon?

Just got the game, great new concept for a lot less than other simulators :) Trying to use my Interlink controller; it maps fine as a controller and responds in realtime in windows setup, but has a delay in the game which makes it unusable :( have tried turning graphics down to simple, not much change. any other suggestions, or known issues with just this controller? Looking forward to many hours of enjoyment if i can get that working
