Welcome to my Toutorial about Steam Family Sharing. That does this mean? Well, all the things, will be explain in this tutourial...With the Family Sharing you will be able to show your own library with members of the family. How this functions and what is to be followed, besides, you will see in my tutourial.



1. What does Family Sharing mean, btw. that is it?

With this you can allowing other Steam users, means your family, to access to your own Steam library, as long as the real owner of the play don't playing something. The member of yourfamily or the friend, does not need compelling access to your Computer then.



2.The Steam Guard activate

Before the Steam Family Sharing can be used, we need protected first the Steam by the Steam Guard. A code will be send with the first registration attempt with the Steam client or a web browser in an up to now unused Pc to the e-mail address belonging to the Steam account. This code is valid for the registration process.

For doing this, just following the steeps:

Click on Steam „settings“ and then to "account". After that go to „Steam Guard account security administer …“ here. Selects „My account by Steam Guard protect“ and protects the change with a click on "next". After selcect the PC its done. Most of the players, allready having this Steam Guard protect, like i, but if not do it like on the pic here.



3.Users authorise and PC

First the access to your Steam library, must be allowed for the other Steam user as well. Afterwards, you must authorising the PC'S of the other user too. A Steam user can be easier authorised, if they have receiving Steam users access, to the same Pc, means both Steam users (Brother etc.) should announce themselves at least once in the same PC with her Steam-access data. For doing this simply klick to the top right on the Steam-user name and chooses from the menu „User change …“ here. After both Steam users done it, the user, who would like to release the access to his library, must log in again. For access to the library, simply click on "settings" again and chose "Family" then. There is a list with all Steam users then, who have announced themselves up once in your PC Took a hook to every user whom you would like to authorise and, moreover, clicks on the button to „This calculator authorise …“, before you click on "OK". ;) here.



4.Remove the Users

For the case that you would like to take its away again: Logs in to your Steam, and go then to "family“ ( Steam < Settings< Family ) . Now click on a Steam user, to take back the authorisation and closing the access to your Steam library with it.



5.Games

After you authorise with an another User, the User will be able to see your games on the library, and he will be able to start it too. But notice: Not all the games will be opening...because some of the games doesn't allowing to do this.
