Anti-Scam Guide
By gergalicious
In this guide I will describe all the possible scams. Please be aware scams are still being created and this guide will be edited once a new scam has come out.
1. CS:GO Lounge Phishing Bots - After posting a trade in CS:GO Lounge, a few people might add you. Accounts to stay away from are private accounts/Level 0 accounts, they are known to be bots, and might give you links to screenshots, trade links, etc. Stay away from these people, the links are fake and you will be scammed.
2. Multiple Traders - A man might ask you to give your knife to a trusted friend for convenience purposes. The man's friend will make a fake/duplicate account of your trusted friends account, and you will put yourself at risk of trading your items to the duplicate account. Whenever there are multipile people in one trade, its better to stay away from it as its very risky.
3. [RECENT SCAM] CS:GO Tournament/Teamspeak - A man might ask you to aid him in a competetive game/tournament. That's fine and ive played in many tournaments with my friends, but the one thing thats wrong about this is the anti-cheat/server client you need to download. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. The link to the anti-cheat/client will put a virus on your computer and you will lose your items to a hijacker. If you are looking at this guide after you have been scammed by this, clear your registry using CCleaner (Trusted Anti-virus).
If there are any more scams you might be aware of or I forgot to mention, please leave them in the comments below.
Stay Safe!

4. Someone links you to "their inventory"/"their storage"/"their backpack"/"their vault account." which is a different inventory from the one you are talking to.
If they make up excuses ("I don't have my items on this account because of all the scams.") for why you can't deal with the account directly, or if they ask you to verify your items ("all those bugged items" - those don't exist), you'll know that they're just trying to steal your shit and do not even have control of the account with the items.
