• You can fish from your ship as long as it is not moving.
  
  
• All fish must be placed into the Loot Collector to get anything.
  
  
• The first time you place a type of fish in the Loot Collector, you will gain mastery points based on the rarity of the fish. Common gives 5 mastery points. Uncommon gives 10. Rare gives 25.
  
  
• Use "/join fishing" to get to the in game fishing chat channel to find others that can help you & you can help them get to fishing locations.
  
  
• You need Lures to fish once you have a pole. These can be purchased from the Saltwater Sam NPC in the Hub for 10 Glim per Lure.
  
  
• Old Boots are only needed to craft boot Allies at the Nautical Assembler in the Hub. 1 boot per Ally. The boots are useless beyond that.
  
  
• All Common & Uncommon fish are obtained in any of their liquids respectively.
  
  
• All Rare & Enchanted fish must be obtained in a special way.
  
  
• All Enchanted fish require the Lady of the Lake fishing pole to be equiped to catch.
  
  
• All Enchanted fish are obtained in water.
  
  
• The Molten Magma Sifter fishing pole unlocks lava fishing.
  
  
• The Candied fishing Cane fishing pole unlocks chocolate fishing.
  
  
• The N-0 Depth Scoper fishing pole unlocks plasma fishing.
  
  
• The Molten Magma Sifter, Candied Fishing Cane, & N-0 Depth Scoper poles do not need to be equiped to fish in their respective liquids. Once you have those poles, you can use any other pole in it's liquid.
