Latest Update: All infrastructure has been completely replaced with roads and rail that are high quality. Images 2 - 8 are from this update, the rest are images from before the update. Custom palm no longer part of the map.

Mangrove Beach is an imaginary, fully hand made map, with the terrain and interstate style found on Florida's West Coast.

This was a map location requested by lazysmurf, and I thank him for all the great ideas and contribution!

There are a lot of really interesting bits of land, beaches, mangrove islands... waterfront property abounds!

Part of the idea behind this map was to allow for a very large city. Tons of resources available, and the pre-existing interstate and rail system that I set down should help your businesses thanks to such a strong infrastructure.

As opposed to my other maps, this map is, like Florida, extremely flat and at a low level. Tunnels are possible on the land, but across the water only between the land and mangrove islands, and across the causeways. A bit of added realism and a challenge for you.

There are extensive connections via rail and interstate, and you will notice a lot of ships. This is because the routes wind around, ensuring you can place a harbor at most any location.

I recently moved to Denver, but yes. 275 and I4 are disasters - like Cities Skyline traffic level disasters. Sorry I just saw this!

I actually got the mangroves but didn't see the other assets- Thanks!

Great to hear! I lived in Pinellas for a long time, although long ago. I made a Tarpon Springs map with native trees that Mr Maison made for us Gulf Coast city builders ;) Mangrove Beach is vanilla, so check out the Gulf Coast trees he made. Thanks! I live in Tampa and this is a neat interpretation on the area! Love the barrier beaches and inter-coastal system!

Ah yes. I've had that one but very long ago. It is a mod problem, it was another mod which clashed with Random Tree Rotation mod. You have to go to RTR mod's page to find the answer; read through the comments there for the answer. Also search Random Tree Rotation mod flickering and you will get a ton of hits.

Its not that they disappear, its more like a flickering depending on the direction the camera is pointing at

Hi, that's definitely a mod issue. I forget which one, but I do know two really great sources where you can go to get help on how to fix it and which mod it might be.

Just fyi, it's impossible for a map to cause such a thing. Think of a map as a blueprint. When you start the game, it just records the locations, terrain, etc in the map, and then the map is no longer affecting your save game at all.

With "random tree rotation" activated, trees and highways disappear in this map.

I tried disableing every mod that i had.
The issue is still here, though less aparent
