hosting
as a host you have to have the pyromancy warmth.
Summon a bunch of summons and lead them to the end of the bridge by the door to the iron keep
cast warmth in the center of the area
just an idea that you should maybe put some prism stones in a circle then cast warmth in the circle

Get preped by buffing and then wait for everyone to be ready and then swing like madmen
As a summon
If you happen to be summoned into a world where a host is trying to make a king of the hill fight just wait for him or her to summon some more people for the fight

it would also be a good idea to have a warmth to cast in the circle with the host's warmth but is not nessesary

wait for everyone to buff or prep and have fun

and remember the more the better. and it is super fun and not to mention all the souls you can get in a short amount of time. More people should do this

@Albatrosk The trick seems to be getting people to stop dueling and joining you; Impromptu KOTH is the best, and once people have a taste of it after all the duels, they get their signs down as fast as they can.

well thanks i really enjoy the fights myself and it is a nice change from the normal summon and kill pattern that just gets boring after a bit

I'm sitting at the last Soul Memory Tier myself, and these king of the hill battles keep things interesting. Heide's Tower of Flame also looks like a good spot to organise these kinds of fights, but no one PVPs there as much as Iron Keep. Thanks for making this guide and spreading the word genius15nrc

You may also try to run one even with out a warmth if you wanted to

This may be happening in other places like the forest of fallen giants on the big platform but i have only noticed it in the iron keep so far
