The last chase scene wasn't too bad.

The flying spike maze at sparrows pass.

I find it funny that people had so much trouble over this; the chases/escape scenes of the game were great, and it makes it that much more worthwhile when you overcome it which is exactly why they had no continue or ability to save. Do people just mindlessly game nowadays and expect no challenge? This is hardly the hardest platformer out there by any means!
