OpenRPG Stats and Weapon Unlocks System (DarkRP Leveling)

Due to my job I cannot support this addon at all anymore, so it's now officially completely free. However, it suffers from a major exploit that can only be fixed by moving all of the stat calculations from frame.lua to serverside only. This is a monumental task, so for anyone who can fix it, I'll link to it and delete this addon. If you are able to fully develop it and continue supporting it I would be in favor of you being able to sell the fixed version of this addon on GMODSTORE and/or accept donations. It's just not worth anything to me anymore. It's free to anyone who wants the source code.

DarkRPG2 is an addon that adds Stats, Skill Points and job-specific Talent Trees to DarkRP Servers.


DarkRP Support: 2.5, 2.6, 2.7

Leveling System Support: vrondakis Leveling System for DarkRP, DarkRP Advanced Leveling System.

Player Stats: Adds the ability to level up a myriad of player stats (see images above or guide below), including specializations with customizable weapon groups (e.g. Increase Damage with Laser Assault Rifles by 5%)!

Talent Trees: Fully customizable talent trees for each job or the same tree for multiple jobs, can control stats or give weapons, auto-generating tooltip text, extremely high control. Comes pre-packaged with Civilian, Medic, Hobo, Police, Gangster, Mayor and Gun Dealer talent trees.

Donator Usage: Talents can be restricted to specific individual user groups for multiple levels of donator status or talents just for admins (FAdmin, ULX, Evolve compatible).

Workshop Compatibility: 90-95% of all weapons will work with DarkRPG2, comes pre-installed with M9K weapon settings in 'weapons.lua'.

Simple: Comes with an updated detailed quick start guide (see below) and is designed to be simple to read and script.

Full Developer Control: Nearly everything is fully controllable, talent trees or skills can be turned off and on, levels changed, leveling can be turned off, etc.

Languages: Players can select from english, french, german, russian and spanish. You can also modify the translations very easy or create new language files.

Customizable UI: Resizable, draggable, fully customizable HUD with a SWEP or F2 key to activate, comes pre-packaged with motifs compatible with MaterialHUD, FlatHUD and PlainHUD (default).

Console Debugger: On server startup, the console will tell client-side users how to fix errors or warnings with print outs of where the exact line the error is on.

Hit Numbers: Comes with a toggleable DarkRPG-compatible Hit Numbers system which will list Criticals, Evades and Damage Reflects.

Server / Lag Performance: Tested on servers with up to 127 players on with no detectable server performance issues on a Clonewars server, this is a TOTAL code re-write from DarkRPG vanilla to lower FPS lag for client-side users.

DLC Compatible: Your player made Talent Trees and Player HUDs can be designed and sold here on scriptfodder or made available on the steam workshop.

Save / Load System: Player’s invested skill points and talents are saved for each job individually.
