Ok, yeah this isn't perfect, but its the best I could manage without going insane or putting this off forever
I realise the beam isn't aligned properly but I couldnt get it to work better with the viewmodel AND worldmodel
Also the beam may not appear if you dont have hl2ep2 installed, I'll try to work around this
EDIT: If you get this particle pack it should not only fix this but also maybe some of your other broken particles. Thanks to Saint Baron for finding this.

the gun deals damage only to a few enemies, such as the enemies you start with and unmoded, and even then i think some don't take damage. the gun also only deals 100 damage so it isn't that much of a threat. not an issue but a cool idea, be able to change from normal dalek gun, dealing 100 damage or something, and a maximum extermination, dealing 500 or more damage and doing the plasma ball disintegrate thing on kill. if not just make it deal more damage and be able to hurt more creatures. this thing of only damaging a few creatures is from personal experience.

Hey I have found out this swep (nearly) works with npcs. I gave a npc the gun by using the extended properties tool thing. (I think it's called that) and it functioned fairly well.

It works like a smg a bit and for some reason it shoots at very long range. It has a error (but only because of the secondary fire i think)

[Dalek Ray-Gun SWEP] lua/weapons/weapon_dalek_gun/shared.lua:98: attempt to call method 'ViewPunch' (a nil value)
1. PrimaryAttack - lua/weapons/weapon_dalek_gun/shared.lua:98
2. unknown - gamemodes/base/entities/weapons/weapon_base/init.lua:95

If you fixed it up a bit and gave it a longer shoot time and alter the range it would work.

I'm guessing you probably tested it as a npc weapon at some point.

If you could make it work it'll be very good.
