I donno... each movie has its unique aural scape. I really hope he won't go for the "3" textures.

I don't think the reason people hate the 3rd Alien movie was the sound package. ;)

What Alien 3? Of course there were only 2 Alien movies...

...just kidding. :tbpwink: But you know, that's the problem - pretty much every fan would roll his/her eyes at the mere mention of A3, but Heighway has gone for reputation instead. I don't doubt his technical prowess, but now that he's in, they might have to pay respect and incorporate some story elements fans have been trying so desperately to wipe off of our collective memory. :conwayfacepalm:

I hear you. I have some of the same concerns about relatively unproven companies, especially with big-time licenses.

FYI, Heighway also hired Emmy award-winning sound designer Harry Snodgrass, who was responsible for sound on the ‘Alien 3’ movie.

Harry is also a real pinhead, and has been helping organize the annual PinFest pinball show in Allentown, Pennsylvania since 2006.

Aprons are kinda meh, but that translite... woohoo! :tbphappy:

I have a mixed feeling about Heighway's take on the Alien franchise. I hope beyond hope it will be good, but I wish they'd gained some more experience before tackling the xeno.

Have you met 'Helen'? Helen is an alternate art package and translite produced by a well-known Pinsider (Aurich Lawson) who is also the Creative Director for Ars Technica.

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/acdc-new-original-translite-meet-helen

Aurich was recently hired on contract by Andrew Heighway to be Creative Director for the licensed 'Alien Pinball' game that is being developed by Heighway Pinball (UK).

Based on the 264 upvotes and 0 downvotes received by the announcement, it was a highly popular decision. The art package will be stunning! :D

I gotta give credit where it's due: she is hot. Well done, Stern (and I thought their lineup of pinball babes had been... pretty meh, LOL.)
