Mirco Island!

I have been working for several months to create my own route for Train Simulator. This route is available to download for free from the Steam Workshop, as long as you have both the Edinburgh To Glasgow, and West Coast Main Line North add ons for train simulator.

Set on Mirco Island, a fictitious island off the coast of Scotland, the Mirco Island railway is extremely busy, especially considering the size of the island. The convenience of being able to travel to any town quickly and easily by the railway means that there are lots of passengers. However it is not just passengers that use the railway, there is a large coal mine, and they export lots of coal.

Approximately 70 miles of track, containing many interesting features such as tunnels, bridges, cliffs and fields.

There are Nine stations on the route:

Nevets Central:
The main city. The largest place on the island, and has the biggest station.

Stevening:
Commuter town, many people travel from the smaller villages nearby to use the station.

Summerville:
Tourist hotspot. Many tourists come here to experience the Summerville national park. This town has many hotels and tourist accomodations.

Grettown:
The second-largest town on the island, this area is an industry hotspot.

Christon:
A retirement community, this small town is popular with senior citizens.

Ronford:
Mining town, the majority of the population here work at the Ronford Coal Mines.

Avenue Park:
This was once a small farming community, but it has grown in size recently, with lots of new houses.

Braeburn:
The “forgotten” town, this small town in the valley of the Braeburn hills is a really quiet place, and many residents come here to get away from the noise of the city.

Turing:
Mountain town. Although this is a small town, many tourists come here to go hiking in the Braeburn Hills.

Good news! The scenarios are now available! The bad news is that you will have to install them yourself. This means however that we no longer need to wait for votes.

Here is what to do:
Download the scenario pack: http://www.pc-stuff.co.uk/mircoscenarios.zip

Now you need to open the Mirco Island Route folder. To find it, go to:

(location where steam is installed)\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Content\Routes\

Then open the folder with this name:
3bceb05f-6dde-47b1-99b6-f884cba73be8

Then simply extract the contents of the zip file into this folder, it will overwrite the contents of the “Scenarios” folder.

Please note that you do this AT YOUR OWN RISK! Try not to ovgerwrite the wrong folder!
