Breaking Point is a multiplayer open world zombie apocalypse survival mod, focusing on both PVP and PVE elements.


  • Faction class system with eight unique, playable factions. Each faction has unique perks and drawbacks. Some factions are friendly to others, some not so much. Most factions have custom global faction chat so you can work together.
  • Full unique scoring and leveling system, tied to the faction systems.
  • Basebuilding/baseraiding with a full construction system for creating Safehouses (Havens).
  • Loot stashes you can build and hide in the world to get geared fast.
  • A large range of modern and historic, realistic weapons with customized ammunition, including tranquilizer, subsonic and various other types.
  • Zombies that react to visual and audio environmental movements/sounds.
  • Dynamic loot systems that keep players guessing and exploring for supplies.
  • Super crates providing top tier surprises.
  • Full custom medical systems with bleeding, surgery options and more.
  • Hunt and gut animals and build a campfire to prepare and cook the food or boil water.
  • A full list of custom gear made just for BreakingPoint.
  • Persistent vehicles that can be upgraded/repaired with a toolbox.
  • Server events such as helicrashes and care package drops.
  • Take enemies hostage. Gut them alive or feed them tainted zombie meat.
  • Find and tame a pet dog that will travel with you, help you hunt for animals and alert you to enemy players.
  • A large range of compatible maps, included with the mod.

The Arma 3 version of the mod began development in August 2013. Official servers closed in 2017. BreakingPoint can still be played with community hosted servers! Just search for 'breakingpoint' or 'breaking point' in the Arma 3 launcher and join a server. This mod cannot be hosted locally or LAN. It requires a server to work. See the source code link below for instructions for how to host a server.

SERVER OWNERS NOTE:
Several maps have been moved to their own steam workshop page and out of the mod. Links are below. Support has been added for two new maps for BreakingPoint, Tembelan and Laghisola. To host BreakingPoint on these maps you will need to subscribe to the map you want below and make sure to load this file on your server. Also add the @modname to your start.bat on your server and set the proper mission file in your server.cfg.

Oh Breaking Point how I miss you. So many hours of immersive fun with a great soundtrack! The dogs, the class system made it so different from other survival games/mods.

Thank you for so many countless hours, Zed...and that one guy I remember, something "skull" or "bones" or something. The one who dropped BP for the very first time, what was his name? It was something crazy, can't remember. I was there, and I remember those times with great fondness. Frustrating, exciting, deadly...and FUN

Is there a mod that offers the same dayz like gameplay but with sp bots that you can fight and not only zombies?

There is no SP mode. You can host a private server but there will be no bots.

@donnie If i use this in SP will i have enemy bots from other factions like in stalker sp, or will it only have zombies?

You can play SP any time. Just host a server and password protect it so no one can join.
