Looking for Burke.
Finding the suspect:

Lara and Kiera looks behind at the trash container and find a cellphone with the last call from an unknown number. It has a calendar with the press conference marked. It is Burke's cellphone.
Kiera gets Lara to use the phone and call the unknown number.
They hear a ring. They run with guns drawn towards the back door of the Golden Dragon Restaurant.
Before they go in, Lara radios Edwards to tell that they are going in and to ask him to watch the front door of the restaurant. Edwards tells her to wait for backup. After Kiera's insistence they go in.




Red Dragon Restaurant.
As they enter through the back door to the restaurants kichen, Lara is using the UV light to light their way.
(UV light can be used as a regulat light with longer range and as UV light to detect blood but shorter range. Right click in invetory to swich between the light types.)


As Lara moves futher in, they enter a bar section of the restaurant. Here Lara finds a fire case.




Get the fire extinguisher that is on the left side of the case.





Then use it on the locked door of the fire case.
Open it and get the axe.
Examine the collapsed staircase to right.





Go to the right and examine the tables on the floor and the balcony.





Lara can now take pictures and tag a few of the tables, or you can leave this for now and do it as Kiera later in the this act. Being in a hurry, let Kiera invastigate the tabels later. For now, just find the 4 tables with numbers on them.


Be careful, as at the first table there will be a lamp folling down from the cieling.


After finding the 3 tables, on the left side of the lobby you will find stairs. Go up the stairs, but be carefull and examine the stairs and the broken railing. Using UV light on the stairs will show a hand print on the post.
Take a picture and it will be taged as evidence.



Kiera wants to go on while Lara more hesitant, but the go up to second floor.
There are two empty rooms at the top of the stairs.



As they move to the left edge of the screen, a cutscene starts.

Suspects bedroom.
After the cutscene, Lara hides on the right side of the door while Hiera hides behind a table on the left. Do not try to open the door by hand again. Instead, look around and get a closer look at the table where Kiera is hading. Use the walkie-talkie and call Soga.



Then put the UV light on the post of the railing.











Now, the hallway is light up and they can figure a way to enter the bedroom.


Use the axe from the fire case on the door.
Right click the door again.
Use the axe again on the door then examine the bedroom.



Throw the fire extinguisher inside the room. Lara warns Keira again about first talking to suspect.
Right click to see inside the room. Lara has a choice.



Both chices will end up with the same result. Use the gun on fire extinguisher.

The room is empty.



Use the UV lamp with UV light on the bed. See a bloody hand.
They move the bed and see a hole on the floor.
Take a picture of the bed - hand and it is also tagged.

Use walkie-talkie and call Soga to tell him about the suspect and ask him to cover the back door of the restaurant.
Then go down the hole and you end up in a small corridor near the kitchen.

Look at blood on floor. Take picture and ID tag it.




Examine the box to the right. It is filled with hard disks, paper clips, graphics card and other computer items. Move the graphics card to the right and take the screwdriver.

Do not examine the restaurant layout that is on the wall left of Kiera, but take a look at it here:


Go into the kitchen and see Burke's badge on the back door of the kitchen.

Soga comes running and talks to Lara. He hasn't seen anyone. He will report to HQ.
As Kiera
Kiera says that the French word and the badge was not here when they came. Kiera takes over.

Examine the back door.

Examine the blood writing of the word Chiffres. Numbers? Take picture and tag it.





Look close at the lieutenant badge belonging to Burke. Take a picture and tag the badge.
Burke's badge number is 48512.





Check the left rack. See FLMZ at top part of the panel.
Examine the calendar and flip to April. See blood smudges.







Check the middle rack. See ELMS at top part of panel.
There's a damaged fuse box right of the rack.






Check the right rack. See SLME on the top part of panel.


Time to check out the tables and take a picture of the numbers.



Go to the lobby right of the bar and check the tables.
(This part can also be done by Lara earlier with no change to the scores).



Examine the tipped table at the far top right. See that there are numbers etched on the table.
Take a picture and it gets tagged.

Examine the table at the left by Kiera. See that there are numbers etched on the table.
The chandelier falls from ceiling. Clear it off to see all the numbers.
Take a picture and it gets tagged.



Go left to the side lobby and go up the stairs. All the way past the suspects room there is a turned table.
See a bloody hand print on the table.
Take picture of another set of etched numbers.

Go back to the suspects bedroom at and go down the hole.


Talk to Lara.
(Save the game now.)
In inventory there are the 4 photos of tables with numbers that was taken earlier.
Examine a photo of numbers to recognize it. Then take it from inventory and click it on the numbered table on the layout that you think it came from.
The numbers of the table that have the numbers etched on them are:   
4 - 8 - 5 - 12. Same as the badge number
(Load the saved game and or skip all the above.)


Number/calendar connection:

Remember the calendar on one of the racks. Go back to the kitchen and look closer at the calendar.
(Use the left arrows to flip the calendar. Use "remove tag" to erase the entries. Use the right arrow to change table pictures.)

April has the bloody print. It is the 4th month of the year.
Take the table photo that is labeled 4. Click it on the calendar.
Click on the numbers (days) in order using the numbers etched on the table:
9 - 3 - 10 - 16 - 10 - 24 - 30. E!


Turn the calendar to May that is the 5th month of the year.
Take the table photo labeled 5. Click it on the calendar
Click on the numbers (days) in order using the numbers etched on the table:   
22 - 1 - 25 - 7 - 28. M!


Turn the calendar to August. August is the 8th month of the year.
Take the table photo labeled 8. Click it on the calendar
Click on the numbers (days) in order using the numbers etched on the table:   
7- 21 - 27. L!



December:   
Turn the calendar to December. December is the 12th month of the year.
Take the table photo labeled 12. Click it on the calendar
Click on the numbers (days) in order using the numbers etched on the table:  
17- 9 - 5 - 11 - 16 - 24 - 30 - 26 - 18. S!



Find Burke:
Arrange the letters:    Look at the photo with letters in inventory.
Look close at one of the numbered photo to get a close up.
Take another photo from inventory and click it on the close up of the previous photo.
Do this until all 4 are together in close up.
Arrange the letters to form a word (based also on Burke's badge number 4 - 8 - 5 - 12) - ELMS. Get an ELMS writing.

Look close at the middle rack. It has ELMS on top.
Use the ELMS paper on the ELMS at top of rack.
Kiera and Lara pushes the rack and sees a door with message in French: Burke still has something to tell.
The button that opens the door is not working.
As Lara again.
Fix the fuse:
The fuse box is broken. Lara needs to fix it.


See a wire hanging down from the box connected with the switch. It is disconnected.
Click on box and turn the box to see the back side and see that there's only one wire.
Take that yellow wire.
Use the other end of the wire on the terminal strip screw.
Use the screwdriver taken from the computer parts box on the terminal strip screw-wire to tighten it.



Take the fuse on the panel. Look close and see that it is burned out.
Use the screwdriver on the burned out fuse. Lara removes the resistor wire that is burned on the fuse.
Use the paper clip on fuse as replacement for the resistance wire.
Use the screwdriver to tighten the connections.
Place the jerry rigged fuse on the panel.
Press the switch on the hanging box.
Light comes back on.






Cold room.

Examine the metal door. Press the button to open the door.
The fuse gives out again and they are in the dark.



Kiera and Lara enter the cold room and look around.



Go to the left and see Burke hanging on a meat hook.


Look at blood stain on the floor.
He was hanged and then stabbed in the heart. Examine the butcher hooks on the table.
Click on Burke.
Automatically, Lara calls Soga. He questions 'we'. Didn't he see Kiera? He's called the coroner.
Call Soga again on the walkie talkie. He tells Lara not to blame herself. Burke seems to be dead for a long time.


Examine Burke. There's a different sign on his forehead.
Examine the traces of blood by heart and the body.
Use gloves and examine his mouth. Get a SIM card.


(Save game here.)

Use the SIM card with Burke's cellphone and get a message that is meant for Lara.
Kiera reads it and says - not to believe anybody and this changes things.
Kiera quotes Zenzele; Fate is not an accident. She knows Zenzele.

Decision:   
Everything can be explained. I just don't have enough information.
What's happening is beyond my grasp of reality.
Have another decision to make to support the previous choice.


Renier calls and berates Lara.
The door closes and traps Lara inside.
Call Soga on the walkie talkie. The backup has arrived.
Lara goes back to Lyon.
