About guide
This guide has descriptions and tips for every playable character in Hotline Miami 2 Wrong Number. Even if you know every character from game, you can also find a few interesting facts about them here. Polish wersion of guide - In progress.
The Fans
A little correction of your Fans summary: The Fans are a group of five, inspired by Jacket after the first games events. They don't see him as murderer, but rather as a hero. When Jacket is captured by the police, they decide to follow in his footsteps. They are not enlisted by 50 Blessings, but are patrolling the street for scumbags, dreaming of recieving certain phonecalls. This is confirmed by all the telephones in their hideout. Each of the Fans have their own animal mask for these "missions".

#TheMoreYouKnow Each of The Fans can be seen in bar in Honolulu during Hawaiin conflict (Ambush chapter) That explains their combat skills. This also means that they knew personally Jacket.

Corey
She wears zebra mask, and is the first playable character in the game (excluding tutorial). She seems to be very similar to Jacket. Both of them wears similar clothes, do not talk too much and use different weapons. Her special ability is a combat dodge which allows Corey to roll under enemy bulletsby pressing space.

Recommended playstyle: Corey may be seen as the hardest to play of The Fans, but with a bit of practice she is as effective as others. Her style is based on mobility and flexibility. When you are playing as Corey, don't be too agressive, but try not to be stuck in place. Use every weapon you need, and never be afraid of a lone enemy with a gun, because you can easly dodge his fire and in the same action kill him or knock him down

#TheMoreYouKnow In the digital comic Corey has katana sword, but in game it's The Son's weapon.

Tony
Tony wears a mask that looks like the Tony mask worn by Jacket, but destroyed and covered in blood. Speculation say it's the same mask, which Tony found after it was left behind by Jacket. However, we can see the original Tony mask as evidence in Jacket's trial, which negates this theory.

Characteristics of Tony are his "Fists of Fury". With this ability, he can kill enemies and dogs by one punch. He can also kill fat enemies by first knocking to the floor and then performing a ground execution. Unlike the first game's Tony Mask, our tiger warrior can't use weapons, what makes his lethal punches balanced.

Recommended playstyle: Tony fists can one hit kill regular enemies or dogs, or knock down fat enemies to execute them. Additionally, Tony attacks a little bit faster than other characters, so you can safely hold LMB which makes nothing in close range can hurt you. You even can easly kill a dog by one hit by this technique. That means that in close range you are unstoppable. Your only weak point are guns. Tony can't use any weapons, only his bare hands, so you can't kill them from distance. Because of these difficulties you can't always run around and punch enemies. If you will see enemy with gun, just provoke him, hide behind corner or door and wait.

Summarizing, while playing as Tony you need to remember 2 things.
1. Hold LMB
2. In the cause of enemy with gun, provoke him, hide, and wait for a free kill.

Mark
Real tough guy on the team. Mark wears Bear mask that perfectly fits his physique. If it's not enough to scare his enemies, he always has his loyal pair of MP5s. Bear with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ machine guns. Did I mention that he can shoot in opposite directions by holding RMB? ♥♥♥♥ Just Got Real.

Recommended playstyle: As I said, Mark starts with two MP5s, which are very powerful weapons. In my opinion this is the easiest way to kill more enemies in less time. Together, his "little toys" have 64 bullets (32 in each clip) + additional 64 bullets which he automatically reloads after emptying the starting clips. 128 bullets in total sounds good, but Mark shoot with both guns in the same time, so he runs through ammunition pretty quickly. If you play as Mark, don't waste ammo. His MP5s are his only bonus, so if Mark is out of ammo, he must kill the rest by using traditional methods.

Mark's skill is shooting in opposite directions by holding down RMB. Looks preety cool, but to be honest, I used him only in the level designed specifically for him (Death Wish chapter - first level). In other situations it's just waste of his valuable ammunition. You should keep two things in mind:
1. When he moves his arms into a 180 degree angle, it takes a second to do so, as well as moving back to normal. Be careful of enemies coming head on when using his special.
2. He takes a few seconds to reload, so always watch ammo.

Alex & Ash
Only playable duet in game. Yes, you can play as two characters in the same time.
Alex and Ash Davis are siblings in Swan masks with painted numbers on it (#1 is for Alex, #2 is for Ash) Alex has a blonde ponytail, while Ash, her brother, is prossibly bald. Both of them wear green football padding as armor. They seem to take the lead when the group is looking for targets to attack.

The fighting style of the siblings is pretty simple; Alex leads with chainsaw in her hands, while Ash covers her with guns. Even if Alex is in the middle of execution, she isn't defendless, because you can still control her brother's weapon. If Ash is out of ammo, he will automatically pick up weapons lying on the ground, so don't worry about ammunition.

Recommended playstyle: Don't stop. Serioulsy, Alex and Ash are the most deadly combination you can imagine. Together, they are unstoppable train of chaos, so use this power. Alex will take care of any person stupid enough to approach her when her brother Ash can eliminate everybody anyone trying to shoot them. Playing as Alex & Ash is the easiest way to get high score or just pass the level. Just don't stop. Trust me, across the entire game there's no situation where you really need to stop. You can use ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chainsaw and guns at the same time. Is there a better recipe for a fast massacre? Bonus tip: Ash doesn't stay perfectly tethered, so you can potentially leave him just around a corner and shoot incoming enemies, while you stay in cover.
Jake
Jake is a simple man with simple goals. He is a great patriot, willing to do anything to make America a better place. For Americans of course. For this reason he enlisted in the 50 Blessings. Now, with a smile on his face, Jake can contribute to keep his proud country clean by killing the evil Russian plague. He is so obsessed with his mission, everyone who doesn't agree with him is from Russia, which is the source of all evil in his eyes.
Jake summarized: Love America, Hate Russians

Jake
His default cobra mask found in first game. All your throws are now lethal. Every weapon acts as shuriken! Awesome!

Recommended playstyle: If you only want to pass the level, lethal throws can be very useful. Killing by this way is quiet, so it's good option instead of loud guns. Just always be sure that you have some weapons around you. You can easly kill hard to reach enemies, and stil remain undetected.
Anyway, If you want to get a ton of points, don't use this ability too much. A kill by lethal throw only gets you 400p, which is very low, considering that you can get 800p for melee kill, or 600p for shooting. Additionally, traditional ways are better for combos.

Irwin
Irwin has a nail gun instead of lethal throws. In my opinion, this is the best weapon in entire game. It's silent, and has 20 nails, what means 20 easy kills. If you don't miss any shot of course.

Recommended playstyle: If you prefer slow and safe killing more than fast and dangerous running between enemies, this is weapon for you. Only downside in this weapon is the 500p per kill, but anyway, I'm guessing you aren't interested in points when you are playing with a silent gun.

Dallas
Dallas mask relases Jake's inner warrior. With this mask comes the great ability to kill every enemy by one (or two for fatties) right-hand punch. But this is not the only thing, Jake in the Dallas mask can also pull out his nunchaku, which turns him into an unstoppable train of pain for few second. (Jake gains speed bonus and constantly attacks without the player's control) Another thing. Dallas doesn't use weapons. Real men (or some snakes) should fight with his bare hands.

Recommended playstyle: Basicially, it's Tony with a great bonus - Nunchaku. His Nunchaku is special weapon that can speed up you for a while, because of reasons. This weapon can be very, very useful. That speed buff, if well used, can help you to get high combo and save your ass from bullets. There's only one trap. Jake can't move when he pulls out or hides nunchaku, so you are completely defendless in these two moments. You can activate nunchaku when and where you want, but the animation ends only after a certain time, so you must to be careful with this. When you know that Jake is about to hide his weapon, find a safe place as soon as possible.

Summation
Jake - Default mask.
Irwin - Best to pass chapter in easy way.
Dallas - Best for points.
The Pig Butcher
The Pig Butcher is actually a famous actor named Martin Brown. He plays the main role in a fictional horror movie named "Midnight Animal" created to somewhat re-enact Jacket's rutheless murders. The Pig Butcher personifies Jacket, even living in the same house as him. Anyway, the basic movie plot is him killing random teens intead of russian mobsters. Also, The Butcher wears a pig mask, not the iconic rooster mask. Martin Brown decided to play in the film due to his hidden sadistic tendencies which can release while acting as The Pig Butcher.
In the game while playing as The Pig Butches you can see that Martin has combat experience and skills. His punches are slower than those of other character. With guns he isn't very skillful too, but what is the most noticeable is his iconic way he uses a shotgun with one hand.

Recommended playstyle:
The Pig Butcher is the hardest character because of his defects, so be careful. He can be killed easily in close combat, so if you are bad at timing, avoid walking with bare hands. Martin has some problems with the correct usage of shotguns, so the best gun for him is pistol. Unless you meet fat enemy. Everybody knows that the best way to kill big enemy is a big weapon.

#TheMoreYouKnow Abrey Mask (pig) was one of three iconic Jacket masks, so the director of "Animal Midnight" wasn't so wrong in this point.

Detective Manny Pardo
Pardo is a ruthless detective working for the Miami Police. He uses his badge to kill drug dealers and thugs in Miami without any consequences. Detective is a trained gunman always ready for action, with a shotgun in the trunk of his car, and a revolver in his apartment. Pardo especially hates murderers seeking publicity in the media. For some reason, in some ways he is connected with the Russian Mafia, because he knows many Russian Big Fishes such as The Son, current mafia boss.
Besides that, Pardo is a friend of Evan (Writer), and he gives informations about Jacket's case.
Characteristics for this character are his execution. Detective Pardo is the only character who not only doesn't throw out guns during the execution, but also uses it to do it.

Recommended playstyle: Pardo's best friends are guns, andhis chapters are desinged for fusillades. Pardo does executions with his gun in his hands, so you aren't unarmed after that. He even does executions by shooting with some weapons, so you can see how he doesn't like sneaky way. Connect these facts and focus only on shooting. Even if you like to gain more points, don't go with melee weapon. Trust me, on his levels, it's all about the combo you can get from shooting waves of incoming enemies. Quick trigger and good aim that's how you should kill as Pardo.

#TheMoreYouKnow Detective Manny Pardo is based on real spree killer Manuel "Manny" Pardo Jr, who worked as police officer in Miami and killed 9 drug dealers in late 80's. You can even see real Manny Pardo in game, during Pardo's nightmare.

#TheMoreYouKnow2 Every Pardo's special execution based on shooting consumes ammo, but Pardo can do it even if is out of ammo.
Evan (Writer)
Even Wright, knows also as Writer, is a friendly former journalist, which only wants to write a book about killers in animal masks (events from first game) For this purpose he's looking for clues around people connected with Russian Mafia or 50 Blessing. His friend, Detectice Manny Pardo sometimes helps him, by giving him first-hand information from Miami police.
His default playstyle is consistent with his personality. He isn't hostile for anyone, so he can't kill. Evan is able only to knock down his enemies, or permanently knock out then, by using blunt weapons, like baseball bat, or by doing short "execution" (using bare hands or some weapons) Writer also disarms every gun which he get, but mobsters and thugs seem to ignore his generosity and mercy.
So if you are tired of pacific style, writer can relase his inner rage, by executing two knocked down enemies. After this, Evan takes off his jacket and starts to killing with every weapon you want.

Recommended playstyle: Pacific way may be little harder, because you can't use guns, but also is worth more points. Disarmament of a gun is categorized as a kill worth 1000p. That means that every gun in chapter can give you higher combo and highscore.

#TheMoreYouKnow When you decided to kill somebody in execution as pacifist Evan, enemy dies after first few punches, but you can punch him until you get satisfied.

#TheMoreYouKnow2 Evan in rage mode can be seen in interview room in Caught chapter.
The Soldier
Known also as Beard, The Soldier serves during the Hawaiian conflict as one on member of "Ghost Wolves" - group of four soldiers worth more than the entire company. Most of their tasks are so difficult, that they seem to be suicidal missions, but The Soldier and rest of his companions are able to complete even the most dangerous job.

Beard fights with a gun and a knife, and he never puts down his equipped gun. Even if you pull out his knife, The Solder still holds his main weapon in one hand, ready to use it in any moment. Because of that, you can't use weapons of your enemies. Anyway that isn't a problem, because even if you are out of ammo, you can find more ammunition in special boxes placed about a map. In one
supplement you you gain small amount of bullets (or fuel), but these boxes of supplies are infinite, so you can waste you ammo as long as ammunition is near you. If your weapon has additional ammunition, The Soldier always autmatycally reloads this when he need it. There is not any key for that, so you can't do tactical reload. You must to empty first clip.

Recommended playstyle: Most of weapons has the same pattern, exception is Flamethrower. You are on war, se these chapters requires shooting, but don't forget about your knife. Melle kills will not alert your enemies about your position, so you have less chance of being shot. Use specific weapons in different situations and always kill with knife when possible. That means more points, it's better way to get higher combo (You don't need to waste you time by looking for ammo boxes), and it's too much safer than triggering every Russian around you.

The Soldier weapons
Machine gun
Assault rifle with 2 clips 20 ammunition in each clip. 600 points per kill. Receive 10 bullets through interaction with ammo box.
Shotgun
Shotgun with 6 shells and more 10 spare shells. 600 points per kill. Receive 4 shells through interaction with ammo box. Reloading this can be interrupted, but you can't resume it.
Big Machine Gun
Light Machine Gun (irony) with 40 bullets and no additional clips. 600 points per kill. Receive 10 bullets through interaction with ammo box.
Sniper Rifle
Sniper Rifle is a special gun what allows you to see further on shift, just like George mask in first game. Sniper Rifle has 2 clips with 10 ammunition in each clip. 600 points per kill. Receive 4 bullets through interaction with ammo box.
Flamethrower
Very special gun with special playstyle. With Flamethrower comes easy killing in destruction way. You can kill entire level with it, without the need of changing flamethrower's fuel tank. However, fire can't break through glass, what may hinder your massacre.
Flamethrower has 100 units of fuel in tank (You lose 1-2 fuel units for single click). Only 400 points per kill, what is bad for high score. Receive 40 fuel units through interaction with ammo box.

#TheMoreYouKnow Beard is Jacket's closest and probably only friend.
The Henchman
The Henchman is a black/mulatto Russian mobster which seems to be the right hand of The Son (Russian Mafia boss). He has good relations with his boss, and works as assassin for him, when The Sonnot doesn't resolve the issues by himself. The Henchman style of killing is silent and accurate, by using his silenced pistol.
We are meeting The Henchman when he's tired of his job, and want to end this. He has concerns about his own life, but this does not diminish its effectiveness.

Recommended playstyle: The Henchman's silent pistol is very good pistol to start a chapter. That gun kills with one shot doesn't alerts enemies. If you only want to pass chapter, take sure every bullet will give you the advantage. If you want to get many points, use it for good combo or one free knockdown (throw).

#TheMoreYouKnow There's achievement to kill all thugs on first area of No Mercy chapter using The Henchman's pistol. Your gun has 12 bullets, and there's 12 thugs, so you can't miss any shot.
Richter
Richter Berg is second character in game, which accualy works straight for 50 Blessings. He wears rat mask. We meet him after his actions, when he talks about his story with Evan.

Richter Berg past is quite unclear. We don't really know when and where he get his combat skills. Maybe he is war veteran, maybe he was in jail before. But now, he just want to take care of his sick mother. Unfortunately, 50 Blessings began to blackmail him. At first he were told to paint the 50 Blessings symbol in specific places, or leave cryptic voice-messages, but he thought it was a prank and ignored it. He was proven wrong when they torched his car and threatend to hurt him and his mother. Now, he is forced to kill Russian mobsters in various places. Unlike to others 50 Blessings's agents, Richter doesn't like his "job", and murders whose he commits seems to come from his basic instincts and self-defence.

Recommended playstyle: Richter doesn't have any defects or advantages, but his chapters in many places require different types of weapons, so remember about flexibility. Also, his levels are filled by tons of enemies, so focus on combos and try to kill all enemies from chapter in one combo. It's hard, but possible. Keeping your combo between levels is hard, but possible and guarantees you A+ on Richter's levels.
The Son
The last playable character in game. His father was The Russian Boss from first game, killed by Jacket He is the current leader of the Russian Mafia in Miami. The Son likes to settle most of the jobs by himself, but if he doesn't he sends The Henchman, who seems to be close with him. He's connected in some way with Pardo (Pardo knows him). The Son's chapters rely mainly on fighting the competitive Colombian mafia.

Playstyle: The Son's playstyle consists of three different techniques, which works like different masks (The Son doesn't wear any mask, so he is using techniques instead of it)

Bodyguard
This technique allows you do use combat dodge, so it's a copy of Corey's style. Only difference is that The Son starts with katana, what can be pretty useful on first few enemies. Just don't attach to your sword and boldly change it when you need. Remember, mobility and flexibility.

#TheMoreYouKnow Katana in Bodyguard technique is reference to Ninja Girl, The Russian Boss bodyguard.

Dirty Hands
Copy of Tony's lethal punches, but with one important change. The Son attacks a little bit slower than Tony, so "just hold LMB" technique doesn't work anymore. You have to punch in right time.

Bloodline
Mark's style with little slower punches and executions.

#TheMoreYouKnow This technique is named "Bloodline", because the first user of two MP5s was The Russian Boss, not Mark

#TheMoreYouKnow The Son has an alternative knife execution. Fast stab in neck instead of slash. That's one of the fastest executions in game.

Great guide. I wish the game spelled out some of these mechanics. I didn't even realize that the henchman's gun was silenced. It just seemed like enemies in the sequel didn't hear so good.

One problem with the Tony Guide, I believe that the popular fan theory isn't that Tony had Jacket's mask, but that he took it from the level in the original hotline miami in which Jacket accidentally kills a man wearing a tony mask who is strapped to a booby trapped chair. The theory goes that Tony went to the scene and stole the mask. The blood on it belongs to the original tony.

Just a quick thing I feel is worth mentioning: Compare Jake's eyes to the rest of the characters. He has serpentine eyes (most likely contacts). Guess that's why he uses snake masks.
