The Flare in Viscera Cleanup Detail, is actually simply Lit by holding the LEFT Mouse Button for about 1 second!
That is all. NO wallbanging, (u probably were holding the left mouse button as u did it vigerously on acccident), lasers or furnaces required!

i didnt even know you could smack them against a wall to light them... i went to the furnace to light it

Just tried lighting it against a wall without holding left click, it works you just have to hit it against an object in the right way

This works for the light sabres in Unearthly Excavation too, btw. I only JUST now figured that out. heh heh

OMG THANK YOU!!! I like flares way better because they don't break and explode into a bunch of flames like lanterns.

now with the update where you can rotate items when holding lmb...... Ive found that you can turn the good old lanterns on/off by holding the mouse button in the same way, not sure about the bigger site lights.

allso.... Arachnade you............ have been beating the flares off? eeewww

I accidentally threw mine at a dirty mop bucket and knocked it over. Watching in slow motion the error of my deed and gasping "Noooooooooooooo o o o o o o o oo h h h h h h h h"
