Research is a invaluable tool for a E.Y.E. operative, however it is a daunting first look, with many unknowns at the time. This list is an attempt to make it a bit less daunting.

Research Basics
Research is one of the many important mechanics of E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy, and one that is needed to unlock the most potential benifits to your character. For the most part, most research projects require you to defeat enemies in battle, who will drop silver briefcases on the ground, giving you one of the research items at random, or chain other researches together to unlock the 'tech tree' available to you. As far as I can tell, there's no surefire way of getting the research items you want from drops, and for the most part only the humanoid enemies drop the research briefcases (so don't expect them to drop from the more animalistic foes or wantonly murder critters looking for them.)

After which, enter your character menu and go to the Research tab, at which point you can view every research topic you know and all the bonuses each research topic gives you. To begin a research, select a topic and then select the amount of ingame time (24 hours of ingame time takes about 8 RL minutes, if you really want to you can just leave the game open in the solo play citadel while you research). Personally it's better to just wait the extra time over using the extra currency, however eventually you can grind tons of extended cash, so choose the amount of funds and time right for you, follwed with 'Launch Search'. After the time is complete, the research subject will turn green, and the text will change describing the bonus that you recieve from finishing that research topic.

This is still a WIP guide, as getting the remaining researches is all up to RNG and getting the description texts for both pre-research and post-research is requiring multiple characters at this rate.

really should mention the pre-req researches for each... some of them require you to complete them in sequence like the bioregen researches, and the Distortion Inductor and Bester Training Method show up after researching corpses...(roughly, been a while since i paid attention to the sequences, like they're not drops obviously, but yeah... )

Some of the drop researches iirc don't drop until you get certain researches, at least a couple come from the implant level increase researches

Plus side: As of a few hours ago, finally got all the pricing and pre-research fluff at least done.
Downside: 666666 credits for the final research? Really game? x,x So yeah that'll take some grinding but at least the guide is far, far better than the state I last left it.

Distortion drops must be super rare, I have yet to find any and I only have 5 unknown researches left. Know any tips for trying to get it without cheating? Are there specific levels and difficulties someone should play on to raise the chance of a drop, or does it not matter?

I admit, this alongside with my AWOP guide for New Vegas I really need to finish some time >_> Been mostly focused on the AWOP guide as of recent, but maybe I should take a break and do some AFK upgrade times for E.Y.E to finally finish this thing off. I didn't really have that much left it seems.
