Turns out downgrading did the job. I'm currently checking where things crapped out precisely, and letting everyone else that had this problem know; and maybe pester Nvidia about this until they fix it with the latest versions.

Whelp. Thanks for the input. I was thinking of downgrading, against better judgement. Only other solution left that makes any sense. Let's hope it doesn't mess things up overall (and let's also hope I still have one of the previous drivers that worked), otherwise, it's a shame I'll have to deal with that inconveniece every time I want to enjoy this. If it does work, I'll make sure to note anyone else suffering this same issue what version to get, provided it's still distributed (another major hurdle), at least on the Nvidia side. Can't help with the AMD side, however for everyone else on that front.

Thanks for the good memories and tunes from the game, nonetheless.

Probably not what you want to hear, but I would probably recommend downgrading to the previous version of your graphics driver that worked with Dyad. So long as it also works well with the most common games you play.

Upgrading to the latest drivers is tempting and always recommended by professionals. But you may have heard some people saying, if everything works fine, then don't update.

There's too much diversity with games these days. An attempt at updating gfx drivers in order to fix something in the latest games of today may result in breaking something in an older game. Alas that's just the way things are.

You may also want to try some compatibility mode settings in Windows. Although I must say that has hardly ever worked for me since Vista first came out.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo (6300 1.86GHz), GFX Card: Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX+, running on Windows Vista 32-Bit.

I made it as far as you have, and it seems like the latest graphics driver update screwed things up, or something, seeing as that was when problems started, as far as I could figure. As shown in the bugs thread, it's a DLL issue. So either the game has a problem with it, or somebody at Nvidia screwed up in such a way, my computer may need a total overhaul to play this game. That wasn't the case before. Seeing as I can't afford the Macintosh solution of replacing my computer, I'm looking into software solutions aside from downgrading my graphics card driver, or spending money I don't have on a replacement card.

I have heard some people having problems with Dyad, but they seem to be running things like laptops with weak graphics cards. I reckon that so long as you have a decent gaming rig, you should be able to run this game.

Originally I played this game on an AMD 5000+ Black Edition CPU with an AMD HD6800 series graphics card. I now run the latest Intel i5 CPU with the same graphics card and it runs fine. What graphics card are you running?

How did you get your copy working? What are your settings/system specs? Post on the forums if you have anything that may help.
