The Basics
For those who arn't familier with Team Fortress 2, it's a fast paced FPS with nine various classes, and three diffrent rolls: offence, defence, and support. The spy falls under the support roll. and as the spy you have two rolls to pick from depending on the situation at hand. Aggressive, or defensive. Now every class has three to four items in their loadout: a primary, secondary, melee, and special.

The spy has four items in his loadout. a Revolver, a Sapper, a knife, and a desguise kit. But he does have an invisable watch. now depending if you have "Your Eternal Reward" or the "wanga pick" with either of those equipped you cant desguise. I will go over loadout later.
Knowing Your Role
When it comes to playing spy you should know when the proper time to act is and picking what play style is required for your team to win or attempt to win. As mentioned earlier you need to know when to play Aggressively, or defensively. to do that, just simply play how you'd normally play as a spy, to more advanced players, i recommend you do a quick assesment of your team and theres if your on a map. Now lets say that your playing how you'd normally play as a spy. and you notice that the enemy is really intrenched with engineers and sentries, that should be code for " time to kill" thats when you should be aggressive.

now when playing aggressive i will say that you will die alot but you could also get a lot of kills and cause dissary and general panic cuz their defences might be compramised. now one way you know your job is done is when the enemy team is pretty much all pyros thats when you should back off. now you can play deceptively and aggressively. so if you got a chance to capture that point or attempt the objective do it. why? Because the enemy would never expect a spy to win the game for their enemy team.

On the opposite of that playing defensively depends on the game mode and map. Now the spy is essentially an equilizer of the team and when your behind enemy lines defensively you should find ways to keep the enemy oblivious to who you are by keeping paranoia levels low or non exsistant. one way into keeping the enemies paranoia down is constantly swaping desguises unless you've got "your eternal reward (YER)" or the "wanga pick" because you cant desguise until you backstab someone and take the desguise as your victim.

now this can ability can come in handy because its a silent killer and it hides the body and they dont make a sound when they die. this is great for keeping paranoia down because every backstab makes you time easier as a spy. now when playing defensively your prime goal should be engineers and there little devises. now when it comes to a tactic of chosing either Stab and sapp, or sapp and stab, to make it easy to chose remember this: if you have any knife that allows desguising, then sapp and stabb; but if you have YER or the wanga pick, then stab and sapp.
Dealing with Engy-Sentry combos
When it comes to engy-sentry combos there are two options you have options: stab & sapp, or sapp & stab. now many people will tell what the best one is and say this ones better than that one or what ever. now what ever way works for you is fine and you can skip this if you want but i recommend reading this for more clarity. Now the tatic you use of either sapp and stab or stab and sapp comes down to the loadout you have. remeber this: if you have a knife that allows you to desguise, then sapp and stab; but if you have YER or the wanga prick, then stab and sapp.

Why sapp and stab with disguiseable knifie? because if you want to limit time exposed as a spy you want to disable the sentry then kill the engy because that way you can run away and desguise and resume you duties as a spy. but if you stab and sapp with a desguisable knife, then you could be dead before you even get the sentry.

Now why stab and sapp when you have YER or the wanga pick? if you have one of those two knives they allow you to take the desguise as your victim so this in turn allows you kill the engineer and take his desguise then sapp all of his equippment and then move on.
Cloack Tatics
ILUSION- this tatic can be very helpful to confuse your enemy in the event your descovered. what you do is activate your cloack and go the appear to go one direction, but then go another. for example: lets say you miss a critical backstab on a sniper and he sees you to preform an ilusion have him follow you then cloack and appear to go strait when actually you pull left or right and he'll start swing like an idiot and you just sit and laugh at his stupidity.

CIRCLE SRAFE- the circle strafe is just that, but with a twist. again lets use that sniper again and you miss that backstab cloack after the miss and circle around to the other side and try to kill him.

CORNER ILUSION- similer to the ilusion have tyou taget follow but cloack before you get around a corner uncloack and backstab him (easier said then done).
*side note*
you have a gun USE IT!!!!!!

Best times to use revolver:

- razorbacks

-pyros

-wounded enemies you cant backstab

- if either soldiers or a demoman is airborne

-other spys
Backstab Priority
the first four are in no particular order and can only be determined by you... these for are my scaling yours could be in any order of the first four. 5-9 are I would say are non-negotiable

1.heavy
2.medic
3.engineer
4.sniper
5.demoman
6.soldier
7.scout
8.spy
9.pyro
Knowing your loadout
when it comes to loadouts its up to you to pick which one suits you it doesnt have to be the ones i use.

aggressive backstabber- enforcer, YER, dead ringer

patient pouncer- (revolver of your choise), cloack and dagger, YER

cold feet- diamondback, dead ringer, spycicle

silent assassin- abassidor, stock watch, YER or wanga prick

these are just segestions you can experiment with what you got, and find the one that works for, but if your already content with what you've got thats fine.
Conclusion & ending thoughts
If you found any of this to be helpful or you have any segestions please comment, if something works for you feel free to share if you want to or create your own guide.

REMEMBER: PATIENTS IS KEY!!!!!!

these tatics work for me, even if you followed this guide step by step and you died or failed the objective, just practice in training or have patients this isn't a garanteed improvement this is a long term improvement and what ever works for, works for you. dont complain

You have bad grammar but I can tell what your saying so I don't care. What I think is funny is that the cold feet loadout you said is the EXACT same loadout I use :P.
