I can't play, the game won't open. It loads for 1 second and then closes by itself. It only works when I use the "-skip_launcher" command at launch, but that only opens the original game. Could you help me?
5: agents seem to suck ass now, you can no longer steal food or buffs units with them. Making early game even more annoying.
6: holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥' ♥♥♥♥, up to 16 turns to upgrade stuff is ridicoulous.
7: the Ai seems stupidly aggressive towards the player. Unless you are playing with a big faction, everybody will gang up on you but never declare war on one another.
8: archers seem to deal 0 damage. Unless you are shooting at an unarmored unit that is giving you its back, they will deal 0 damage.
8 volleys to the front will result in 0 casualties against normal leggionairs.
Parthian horse archers wil get 6-7 kills at half ammo even with the enemy unit not facing them half the time, this makes ranged units useless as well.
They improved the design of the units a lot tho... i will give em that.
1: Hoplites suck ass and will always lose in a frontal engagment against infantry of the same level. That was simply absurd and mindblowing to watch. all those units are to be avoided like they don't even exist.
2: the starting positions suck ass just like the original game, but the reduced buffs that all the units get (champions, generals, tradition, ranks, everything gives less now) will keep all of your armies weak AF, and you will never field an army of cheap but ranked up warriors, wich was the funniest thing to have in the early phases of the base game.
3: The AI has a ton of bonuses and will be capable of fielding more than an army of better quality of your own, even if they start with a village and you with a city. That is BS to me.
But it's no longer crashing when I raise a new legion under Lucius and recruit a unit of Hastati, which was happening before rearranging the load order.
If below fixed it for you, then there was other underlying issue but your suggestion is wrong as a general audience rule.
Part 2 and Part 3 hold visual stuff, which are not even needed by the game to run the mod (since lack of model just laods invisible unit).
"Make sure you load the 3 mod parts in the correct order - Part 1 goes above the others in the mod launcher."
DEI no longer crashes for me when recruiting a unit of Hastati with Lucius Scipio when I place Part 1 below the other 2 parts. I.E.:
Part 2
Part 3
Part 1
