you dont need anything else for this game to run fine, obviously use lower -freq if your monitor doesnt support 100hz

PS: I play 800x600 with blackbars, if you want to play stretched you need to add -stretchaspect

Skip this step if your monitor doesnt have GSYNC

If you are someone like me who didnt play 1.6 for years, having to play with 100fps/100hz might feel really jittery. Turning on GSYNC + forcing application controlled monitor frequency on hl.exe fixes it.

1. Turn on GSYNC on your monitor
2. Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Setup GSYNC > Check boxes that enable GSYNC
3. Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > hl.exe > Monitor Technology: GSYNC Compatible, Preferred refresh rate: Application controlled

PS: I could share the entire NVIDIA config but I dont think that any settings besides these make any difference on a modern pc.

Ive tested different values for over 2 weeks of playing, these feel the most natural/smooth.
Many people say that you should put cmd/update 101, but it literally feels like your shooting is slowed down/laggy.

PS: These might not be correct for some servers, for modern servers like majority of automixes/fastcup these are the correct rates.
