ELIN – HAMMER ALCHEMY GUIDE (Notable Breakdown Paths)
By Z_
A practical resource for players who want to understand the hidden “breakdown” system behind Elin’s hammers.

Hammers in Elin don’t work like traditional crafting or repair tools.
Their job is to break items down into their base components using special category rules.

Below is a complete, easy-to-read breakdown of all the important hammer transformations — the ones actually useful in real runs.

Ah they take logs for regular signboards, but the house/room plates takes boards and only cost 1... But the important thing here is mass production as with higher crafting skills you can turn out items with higher values (up to double or triple it's original value).

I found out that if you turn logs into planks and then make one of the signs out of them (cost 1 plank I think) you can get a lot more money out of them.

- There are 4 type of cobweb and only one that could turned into thread is rare and hard to unlock normally.
- You forget that hammer isn't 100% (Around 50% except you use mod) so hammer cut stone isn't always give surplus.
- For selling wood, cut into planks yield 4-6 times more (and carpenter exp.).

You forgot some:
fiber into cobweb / cobweb to kettle dupe system / duped cobweb into spinner = free thread
stone into 2x cut stone / hammer 1 cutstone into 1 stone (better for eter for example than arrows cause give you shards instead of stones)

Bandages from excess tree chopping makes decent money no matter what and used the excess amount of resin and bark.

So if it comes to early game money, just chopping lots of trees and dumping them into delivery boxes each day works, as the trees practically respawns. Mysilia works best due to the excess of birch trees in one area...

With mods to auto-chop trees you can do it more lazily.

Turn the items into bandages, then the logs into sticks or whatever to sell to npcs as they get heavy, then go home to dump into the shipping box.

I think each bandage gives 10 oren in the beginning and it spawns 3.

Arrows aren't sellable but throwing daggers could.

got it, thanks for clarifying. that lines up with what i’m seeing too: shiny ore from hammering gem/precious gear, and gold bar → hammer → gold ingot only, so no gold-bar → shiny-ore loop to add.
Joshyan 7 Dec @ 10:23am
I'm really sorry, gem ore I mentioned is shinny ore. I remember them as ore that can cut into gem, not the one that is used to make energy cell which your gem ore is.
And hammer gold bar (not fake one made of copper) gives you gold ingot not shinny ore.

for money-making: the flower → corpse chain also feeds into bait → fishing → bonito wine, which sells well. not a hammer path, so it stays outside the guide, but it’s a solid economy route.
Z_  [author] 7 Dec @ 8:38am
the gold loop isn’t verified. no confirmed hammer step that turns gold bar or bullet into gem ore. keeping it out until it’s reproducible.
Joshyan 6 Dec @ 9:12pm
Hammering/craft arrow/make-shift arrow has chance unlock quarrel(12) (ingot/cut stone + stick : a little more cost-effective than arrow), bullet(16) (ingot : ore-duplication loop), energy cell(24) (not useful for hammering since gem is hard to acquired) and rocket warhead(38)

Money-making/Craft training loop (not stamina effective but useful when you need quick money)
1. gold bar > hammer > gold gem ore
2. gold gem ore > smelter > gold ingot
3. gold ingot > bullet (craft exp) > hammer (craft exp) > gold gem ores
4. repeat step 2, sell excess gold gem ores for money if you want (96 per piece)
You can change gold to more useful material if you want to stockpile bullet.

Useful ammo material
- copper (lightning)
- onyx (dark)
- cobalt (poison)
- topaz (fire)
- aquamarine (cold)
- sapphire (sound)
- meteorite (nether)
