Megatech CO-OP issues

Quick guide to hopefully get Megatech working on night of release.
I ran into two different types of crashes, which I seem to have found a workaround for for both.

Crash on join
I would immediately crash when joining a co-op session. Only my friend (host) owned Megatech, but not me. When I bought the DLC too, this fixed this issue. Others have suggested that first joining a singleplayer world, and then joining the co-op might also fix this issue, but I have not tested this.
Crash seemingly random while playing
I would randomly crash after a few minutes. It seems this has to do with the host's terrain tool. If they equip it, and aim it a few meters away from themselves, the joined player crashes. My friend has unbound his terrain tool keybind, and I have not crashed since.

also unrelated but I cant get any megatech stuff in creative please help I have been trying for 30 minutes

Unrelated to co-op but my intermodal terminal is being printed forever with no progress being done.

Terrain tool bug has been fixed per the latest patch notes
