Welcome!

If you've come across this guide, it means you're either having trouble with Rush Mode, are about to give it a try, or just want to learn more about it.

This guide is a compilation of numerous playthroughs and a wealth of information gathered from both my own experience and other sources. I'm happy to share everything I've managed to learn.

If you're just starting out in this mode, I highly recommend first familiarizing yourself with the general information about the mode itself before moving on to the walkthrough.

You can also see the name of an item, location, or slime by simply hovering your cursor over its picture.

Rush Mode Features
Limited Time
You start with 51 minutes on the clock. Each completed quests the time by another 12 minutes. The maximum number of days is increases to 5 instead of the usual 3.

Quests
All quests, except the very first one, are not limited by locked gates. Because of this, it's highly recommended to gain access to all locations and maintain a large garden, just in case!
DON'T HESITATE TO RESTART THE GAME IF YOU GET A QUEST THAT'S TOO DIFFICULT OR UNLUCKY. THIS ISN'T A PROFESSIONAL SPEEDRUN, SO IT'S PERFECTLY FINE TO ALLOW YOURSELF A BIT OF COMFORT.

Quest Rewards
Unlike the standard game, the rewards in this mode are special and valuable: extra time and 6 pieces of Gilded Ginger for each quest.

Slime Gates
All Slime Gates are closed by default, except for the most important ones—those that open with Plorts. Some gates can be passed without using a Slime Key.

Treasure Pods
Treasure Pods now only contain Newbucks. Green pods give 100, blue ones give 200, and purple ones give 350. If you're passing by one, it's definitely worth grabbing.

Prices
You don't have to worry about the in-game economy here. Prices are static and won't change no matter how many Plorts you sell, unlike in the normal game.

Upgrades
You start with all Vacpack upgrades and a fully unlocked ranch, but the teleporters to the other ranch expansions are locked.

Blueprints
You cannot study blueprints or fabricate gadgets, despite the Lab being open. However, the following items are available in the Build Mode menu:

• 10 Drones
• 2 Med Stations
• 3 Hydro Turrets
• Pink, Blue, and Grey Teleporters
• Pink, Blue, and Grey Warp Depots
• Market Link
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO WHERE YOU PLACE TELEPORTERS! YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MOVE THEM ONCE PLACED, AS LINKED TELEPORTERS WILL BREAK. TO PLACE A NEW ONE OF THE SAME COLOR, YOU WOULD NEED TO FABRICATE IT, WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE IN RUSH MODE!

Plort Bonuses
If you sell 25 Plorts of a single type, you will receive a cash bonus added to your final Newbucks total when the challenge ends. More on these bonuses below.

Gordos
They are found in the same locations, but they require less food to pop: 1 piece for the ones guarding teleporters, 20 for Pink Gordos, and 30 for all others.

Gold Gordos
This map features a large number of Gold Gordos that are essential to pop. Each one requires 3 Gilded Ginger, which you get from completing objectives. Their locations can be found later in this guide.

Knockout
If you get knocked out, you lose 10% of your total Newbucks, and time passes faster than normal. Falling into the water is highly unrecommended!

Finish!
The most important thing to know is that your final score is based on your total earned Newbucks, not the amount you have on hand. Feel free to spend—it will all count towards your total.
About Plorts — Prices and Bonuses
All Plorts have a fixed price on the Plort Market, which does not change daily based on the quantity sold. Therefore, there is no point in stockpiling them.

For every 25 Plorts of a single type that you sell on the Plort Market, you will receive a bonus added to your final Newbucks total upon completing the mode. Most Plorts grant a 5% bonus, but some offer 8%. It makes sense to at least collect the Plorts with the highest bonus, but ideally, you should collect others as well to increase the total bonus multiplier.

Information on bonuses and prices can be found in the table below.

Skipping Slime Gates
In fact, throughout the entire run, we will only need two Slime Keys: one to open the door to The Ancient Ruins and another for The Glass Desert. The other gates can either be skipped or accessed without a key.

To skip the gates, we will need the Jetpack (which we already have) and, in some cases, Largo Slimes. Any Largos will do, even aggressive ones. However, working with a Rock Largo can be a bit inconvenient.

THE MOSS BLANKET

It is highly recommended to head to The Ancient Ruins through this area, as it is much easier to access than The Indigo Quarry. We have two methods for this — using a Largo or using just the Jetpack.

1. Jetpack.
Approach the right wooden posts near the bridge. In two moves, climb to the very top of the post. From there, glide onto the slime statue in the water, after which you can jump across to the ledge by the gate. Don't forget to rest and be careful not to fall into the water.

2. Largo.
Take any Largo and approach the low wall next to the gate. Look slightly below the center of the screen as if you were looking straight ahead. Jump as high as you can, simultaneously pressing spacebar and forward. Throw the Largo at the wall with LMB.

INDIGO QUARRY

If a quest sends you there and you don't have the third Slime Key, you can sneak through these gates as well. This is more difficult than getting into The Moss Blanket, as the walls are higher and it requires two jumps.

1. Largo — First Jump.
As with The Moss Blanket, you can make the first jump sharply, or you can do it differently: get close to the wall to the right of the gate, lower your camera, carefully place the Largo beneath you using RMB, and climb up when the Largo jumps.

2. Largo — Second Jump.
Approach the left column, climb onto the small rocks, place the Largo beneath you, and launch yourself after the Largo jumps. Here you will need to grab onto the top of the column, constantly holding «W» to avoid falling. After your energy recovers, climb to the top.
Gold Gordos
The primary source of income in this mode is the Gold Plorts from Gold Slimes. Feed a Gold Gordo 3 Gilded Ginger, which you receive as a quest reward, and it will burst into Gold Slimes.

There are a total of 11 Gold Gordos on the map in this mode. Each Gordo yields 10 Gold Slimes. You need to manage to feed them quickly, as they disappear very fast.
PRO TIP: CLEAR THE AREA OF OTHER SLIMES AND SCATTER A BUNCH OF FOOD AROUND THE GORDO BEFORE IT POPS. AFTER IT BURSTS, USE THE LEFTOVER FOOD TO FEED ANY SLIMES THAT DIDN'T DROP PLORTS.

Key Things to Remember and Consider

Pop as many Gold Gordos as possible.

We will receive 24 Gilded Ginger for completing all 4 quests. This is enough for 8 Gold Gordo. Popping 7 or 6 might also be sufficient. The main thing is to manage your time effectively.

Maximize your Plort bonuses.

Ideally, you should collect the 8% bonus for this Plorts: Gold PlortDervish PlortMosaic PlortTangle PlortFire PlortPuddle Plort. Since we specifically need Fire Plort Puddle Plort, do not ignore Fire Slime Puddle Slime. Collect 4-8 Puddle Slime and as many Fire Slime as you can, then place a Pond and an Incinerator for them in Overgrowth or The Grotto.

Build a Silo as your first priority.

It might seem that corrals and gardens are enough, but where will you store excess food and Gilded Ginger? Running around with a constantly full inventory is inconvenient, especially since we also need to collect slimes, plorts, and food out in the world.

Gather a variety of food.

The third quest is always about food, and Ogden can ask for anything. So, whenever possible, don't discard food — collect it (if no more important items are available) and store it in the Silo. Also, place additional garden plots without upgrades in The Grotto and Overgrowth and plant everything you find there. It would be a shame to fall short by just two Cuberry for a quest, costing you time and a couple thousand Newbucks needed for the achievement.

Use the Gordos.

If a quest requires many a specific slime, don't waste time gathering them in the wild. Pop the corresponding Gordo and collect the slimes from it. This will save you effort, time, and nerves at the cost of some food. You might also get a Slime Key that will help you access a nearby location.

Use Teleporters.

Immediately set up all 3 available Teleporters on your ranch. I recommend placing their pairs in The Moss Blanket The Ancient Ruins The Glass Desert. You can reach Indigo Quarry from The Grotto by popping one of the Rock Gordo in the Indigo Quarry

Automate your ranch.

Place 2 Drone and configure them. Set one to collect food and place it in Feeders, and the other to sell Plorts from Plort Collectors.

Organize your space.

Decide right away where you will place corrals and where you will put garden plots and the Silo. Keep in mind that we will only need 2 corrals: one for Mosaic Slime and one for Tangle Slime. We will crossbreed both of these with Dervish Slime, so we will need 4 garden plots with Pickle Pear and the maximum feeding level set in the Feeder. Place the corrals far apart from each other and thoroughly clean the ranch of any stray slimes and plorts to prevent The Tarr outbreaks.

Use the Market Link.

You will accumulate plorts over time, including many Gold Plort. Don't waste time traveling back to the ranch to sell. Sell everything instantly. Keep your inventory clean.
Day 1
TASKS:

• Build a Silo.

• Complete the first quest.
• Pop the Pink GordoPhosphor Gordo to get 2 Slime Keys.
• Get to The Moss Blanket and place a Teleporter there, not far from the gate to The Ancient Ruins.
• Gather food and Puddle Slime.
• Pop the first Gold Gordo.

Optional:
• Pop the second Gold Gordo in The Ancient Ruins.
• Place the second Teleporter in The Glass Desert near the Tangle Gordo.

First, take the quest and decide if we will continue with this save file. I restart the save if:

• The quest requires a lot of CarrotPogofruitCuberry, because Carrot Pogofruit are needed to pop the Pink GordoPhosphor GordoGold Gordo, and Cuberry are tedious to collect in large quantities specifically for a quest.

• The quest requires Roostro and/or Stony Hen, and there aren't enough of them near the exit from the Phosphor Gordo cave by the gates.

IF THE QUEST ASKS FOR PHOSPHOR SLIMES/PLORTS, DON'T RUSH TO RESTART. You can get the plorts by feeding wild slimes in the cave on the way to The Indigo Quarry, and you can get the slimes themselves from the Gordo without waiting for nightfall.

Second, we place the Teleporters and Drones, and build the Silo. It's better to do this at the very beginning because you might forget about it later and go to a distant location without a quick and easy way back.

Next, vacuum up all the food we see along the way. Don't forget to check the Overgrowth on your ranch — CarrotPogofruit grow there too. As you do this, gather what we need to complete the quest.
TO SPEED UP COLLECTION, MOVE FURTHER AWAY. THIS INCREASES THE VACUUM'S AREA OF EFFECT, ALLOWING YOU TO COLLECT MORE VEGETABLES AND FRUITS FROM ONE SPOT AT A TIME.

While completing the quest and gathering quest items, pop the Pink GordoPhosphor Gordo.
BE CAREFUL AND DON'T FORGET TO PICK UP THE SLIME KEY AFTER THE GORDO POPS!

We return, turn in everything for the quest. If necessary, make a second trip, finally complete the quest, and use the leftover Carrot Pogofruit to pop the Gold Gordo.
If you managed to collect fewer than 20-25 Gold Plort, you can restart the game and consider it a practice run. Ideally, you should aim for 30+ Gold Plort.

Sell all the Gold Plort and free up your inventory as much as possible before moving on. Don't forget to plant the food you've collected (except for CarrotPogofruit).

Next, our path leads to The Moss Blanket.
DO NOT OPEN THE GATE WITH A KEY; jump over it from the side. You can find information on how to do this in the "Skipping Slime Gates" section.

After entering The Moss Blanket, jump down onto the tree and immediately turn right. Place the Teleporter, then open the gate using the Slime Key.

Next, run through the location gathering food, Puddle Slime, and Puddle Plort, prioritizing the slimes and plorts. Periodically sell all other plorts via the Market Link.
Return to the ranch and organize your inventory—build a Pond for the Puddle Slime, plant and store the food.
TO KEEP 5-8 PUDDLE SLIMES HAPPY, BRING A RUBBER DUCKY TOY FROM THE DOCKS INTO THE POND.

If it's still night and no new quest has appeared, proceed to Day 2.
Day 2
TASKS:

• Complete the second quest.
• Reach The Ancient Ruins and The Glass Desert.

• Place Teleporters in them.
• Pop the second Gold Gordo.
• Activate an oasis using 3 Rock Plort.
• Pop the Tangle Gordo and collect Tangle Slime.
• Collect Dervish SlimesMosaic SlimeFire SlimePickle Pear.

Optional:
• Pop the Dervish Gordo and collect Dervish Slime.

Take 3 Gilded Ginger and one stack of either Pogofruit Carrot, whichever is more abundant. Be sure to take 3 Carrot with you.

Teleport via the newly placed Teleporter to The Moss Blanket. Proceed to The Ancient Ruins and pop the second Gold Gordo. Do not pick up anything unnecessary. Place a Market Link, sell Gold Plort through it, and then pick the Market Link back up.

In The Glass Desert, head forward and to the right. In the canyon, use the Carrot to collect 3 Rock Plort.Upon entering the area with the Tangle Gordo, place a Teleporter right near the entrance.

Optionally, you can pop the Dervish Gordo with 30 fruits to gather more Dervish Slime.

Find any chicken and pop the Tangle Gordo, then collect all the Tangle Slime.

Activate the water source and hydrate the oasis buds. In one trip, you can water 3 buds: straight ahead, then straight ahead again, and then to the right. You can make a second trip to water a fourth bud — on the way out, go straight and then left up the stairs. It will be at the top.

Gather as many Mosaic Slime and Dervish Slime as possible. Look for Pickle Pear, ideally 4 of them.

Return to the ranch and check what the new quest requires. Before tackling the quest, if possible, set up and upgrade corrals: install all upgrades except the Solar Shield. Set up 4 fully upgraded garden plots and plant the Pickle Pear on them. Place the Mosaic Slime and Tangle Slime far apart from each other and distribute the Dervish Slime between them to create Largos. Feed them regular fruits to make them produce plorts. After this, proceed with the quest. If you need many specific rare slimes, pop the corresponding Gordo.

If you have time, return to The Glass Desert and, if there is a storm, collect as many Fire Slime as possible. Continue collecting Dervish Slime and Mosaic Slime. On the ranch, place an Incinerator with ash though and release the Fire Slime into it.

Don't forget to check the pond for Puddle Plort and sell them.

If no new quest has appeared, proceed to Days 3 and 4.

Days 3-4
TASKS:

• Complete the quests.
• Pop 5 or, at a minimum, 4 Gold Gordo.
• Collect the bonuses for Fire PlortPuddle PlortDervish PlortMosaic PlortTangle Plort.
• Collect more Puddle SlimeFire SlimeDervish SlimeMosaic SlimeTangle Slime if needed.

If you didn't manage to complete something from Day 2, do it now.

The third quest is always for food, so don't put it off until night; try to start it immediately after receiving it. Most likely, Ogden will ask for precisely what you overlooked or couldn't bring with you, so don't delay—go and gather it while the food is still on the trees and in the plots.
REMINDER: YOU CAN KNOCK PHASE LEMONS OFF TREES BY THROWING ANOTHER FRUIT AT THE TREE, AT A RATE OF 1 FOR 1.

After completing the third quest, take all the Gilded Ginger from the Silo, gather a large amount of CarrotPogofruit or other food into one or two inventory slots, and head for the Gold Gordo on the islands.

Start with Ring Island. To get there, take any chicken and head through Overgrowth to the portal. Pop 2 Gold Gordo there, place a Market Link, sell everything, and then pick up the Market Link.
DON'T WASTE TIME ON THE THIRD GOLD GORDO (the one near the «sticks» on the map) if you don't know exactly where it is or haven't come across it on your way.

Return to the ranch. Check: food in the feeders, Fire PlortPuddle Plort in the Incinerator and pond; refresh the food with a larger quantity if necessary. Check for the fourth quest. If it's available — take it and assess the situation.

The fourth quest is always for Plorts. If it requests rare Plorts (e.g., Hunter Plort) and you don't have Hunter Slime stocked up, gather food, pop the corresponding Gordo, and feed the resulting slimes. Try to keep track of the quest and work on it at a steady pace — there's still work ahead.

Before or after accepting the fourth quest, get to Indigo Quarry using the Jetpack or a Slime Key. Activate the ranch teleporter and the one on the island by popping the two Rock Gordo with any vegetable. On the way, collect Puddle SlimePuddle Plort. If you go before accepting the quest, return to the ranch, complete the quest as quickly as possible, and then return to Indigo Quarry.
IF YOU ARE CRITICALLY SHORT ON TIME AND REALIZE YOU WON'T MANAGE TO COMPLETE THE FOURTH QUEST, GO DIRECTLY TO ASH ISLE AND POP JUST TWO GOLD GORDO, NOT ALL THREE.

On Ash Isle, pop all three Gold Gordo. Place a Market Link if needed and sell the Gold Plort. You can also sell other Plorts you've collected along the way to free up inventory space.

If you have time left, gather Plorts with a 5% bonus. The easiest to get are Pink Plort. Others can be obtained using the food we've planted. Periodically return to the ranch and sell Fire PlortPuddle Plort until you reach their respective bonuses. Also, if there aren't enough Largos in the corrals, periodically check The Glass Desert and bring back Dervish SlimeMosaic SlimeTangle Slimes from there.
Day 5
TASKS:

• Complete any unfinished tasks from Day 4.

Optional (Choose based on time and preference):

• Collect more Plort bonuses.

• Sell more Dervish PlortMosaic PlortTangle Plort.

If everything has gone successfully — you were lucky with the quests, completed them quickly, and popped 7 or even 8 Gold Gordo — then you definitely have enough for the achievement.

You can either relax or «play for the numbers» by tackling the optional tasks, depending on how much time and motivation you have left.
Final Results
Under ideal conditions, you should have lasted all 5 days and earned far more Newbucks than required for the achievement. The achievement itself can actually be unlocked in just 4 days by skipping the fourth quest and focusing on popping Gold Gordo instead.

This is where I leave you. Thank you for your attention, and I wish you the best of luck in the game and in unlocking the achievement! You can definitely do it!
