Step 1: Accepting Your Fate
Before you begin your journey, you will need to understand that this will not be a normal playthrough. You are choosing to become the embodiment of the boulder punching, BSAA founder himself, Chris Redfield. You are aiming to become the one, true legend. Your friends will pity you, your neighbors will hear your screams, and your therapist will start questioning why you're booking a massive amount of appointments. This is no ordinary grind. YOU NEED TO BE PREPARED.

Step 2: Choose Chris... Every Game
Select Chris. ALWAYS CHRIS, NO EXCEPTIONS.
You do not want to be Feng. You do not want to be Dwight. No, not even Leon. ONLY CHRIS.
Every match you play. Every bloodpoint you earn. Every tear you shed for being tunneled. You must honor him and only him. Your devotion will be pure and unyielding.

Step 3: Stay In Character
Before every match, roleplay as Chris in the lobby. Interact with your fellow teammates - bonus points if they are also part of the Resident Evil franchise.

• Announce your plans of survival and your team's victory like a true STARS operative.

• If someone questions you "Why are you playing Chris?" or says "Leon is better", simply say these things to them, for they do not understand the greatness they are witnessing.

Has Leon ever punched a boulder in a hot volcano?
Did Leon take down the one and only mastermind, Albert Wesker?
Are Leon's biceps bigger than his own head?

The answer is no.

When they realize the fault of their thinking, they will weep and beg for forgiveness. You have opened their eyes to the absolute truth. They will thank you, and get to live the rest of their days with happiness and prosperity.

Step 4: Enter The Game Like A Resident Evil Cutscene
Every loading screen is your cinematic moment.
The original door cut scenes and loading screens in DBD have this in common:

You will sigh heavily.
You will see too many of them.
You will hate what potentially lies on the other side.
Despite all of this, you will continue to play.

You are CHRIS REDFIELD. Enduring is your specialty. You will stride forward, fists clenched as you step into the fog.

Optional: Slow motion walking, or running backwards to assert your dominance as a survivor. Imagining yourself punching boulders or flexing ridiculously huge muscles might also work in your favor.

Step 5: Punch Every Boulder (And Skill Check)
Every generator you repair. Each skill check you click. Even all of the vaults you loop. They are all boulders waiting to be punched, and you should treat each of them as so. Medium-vaulting, all the skill checks you mess up, every generator you avoid because you're scared of a terror radius. These are unsuccessful boulder punches.

KEEP PUNCHING. IF YOU MESS UP, JUST PUNCH HARDER. MAKE CHRIS PROUD.

Step 6: Facing The Mastermind
If Wesker is the killer in your lobby, DO NOT PANIC.

We all know how it goes: the Wesker player will see you as Chris in their lobby. They will laugh evilly, rubbing their hands together as they hover over to the offerings and click on the ebony mori. In their mind, your fate has already been sealed and they will attempt to tunnel you out the game first. But you are Chris Redfield. You blew Wesker up with a rocket launcher. Make them regret their decision and foil their plans! Do not give them the satisfaction.

Greed every single window you vault. Juke his ankles and stare at him when he misses both of his dashes on you. Every failure he achieves in his attempts of capturing you will be a blow to his ego.

If you have mastered this successfully, and your teammates understand what is happening, you will survive. Multiple bonus points if everyone manages to escape, and the mori is indeed wasted.

When you get to the end game chat, you say nothing other than a powerful line that will make the heavens quake with your raw badassery.

"Suck on this, Wesker!"

Proceed to leave the lobby immediately after, like the real hero you have fully encompassed. The dramatic exit and the power of those four words will make the Wesker player furious and humiliated.

Step 7: RE7 Chris Doesn't Exist
A true Chris Redfield fan knows and understands that RE7 Chris isn't real. He is a typo in the Resident Evil timeline. If you find yourself growing exhausted from your daunting adventure of counting up the prestige levels, use this face as fuel for the fire.

Anyone you come across that tells you that they prefer this variation of Chris, block them immediately. They are worse than bioterrorism itself. Save your sanity. Stay strong, my friends.

Step 8: Rinse And Repeat
Prestige Chris Redfield. Watch him glow with pride, and maybe some tears in your eyes. Do this again. And again. And again.

You will repeat these steps constantly. You might be questioning why you even wanted to do this in the first place. But you will then realize the reality: you love Chris Redfield. All will feel well again, and you will keep spending all of your hard-earned bloodpoints.

Step 9: Reach Prestige 100
CONGRATULATIONS!

You have officially ascended and have reached Chris Redfield godliness.

Your rank is irrelevant, and at this point in time, your friends and family may question your sanity.

Your friends on Steam might be scared of you, or in sheer awe.

Your dedication and perseverance of this goal will inspire many others to follow in your footsteps. The more Chris Redfields in our games, the better that Dead by Daylight will become. Be a good person, and encourage someone you know to prestige Chris Redfield today!

Step 10: Reflect On Your Life Choices
Was it worth it?
Does Chris Redfield know that you exist?
And finally... the most important question of them all...

Does anyone need to know that you hit P100 with Chris Redfield?

The answer is yes.

Hitting prestige 100 with Chris Redfield ultimately isn't a reward one simply can receive. It is a lifestyle choice. At this level, you are no longer just a survivor. You are THE Chris Redfield incarnate. You will be feared by killers, loved by survivors, and adored by bloodpoints.

You have successfully endured this monstrosity of a mission. Pat yourself on the back. It wasn't easy.

You will forever be punching boulders in Chris Redfield's honor. No, not even that.

YOU ARE CHRIS REDFIELD.

This prestige was your birthright.

stay safe out there in the fog.
